Hi, I'd like to contest this PROD, if (and only if) the previous article was about the jazz guitarist. Brandon Ross has an article in the Grove encyclopedia of jazz, which I can use to anchor the page in terms of reliable sourcing. Thanks —[[User:Chubbles|Chubbles]] ([[User talk:Chubbles|talk]]) 06:48, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that articles deleted under speedy deletion criteria A7, G5 or G11 be undeleted here.

Note that requests for undeletion are not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

Instructions for special cases

Draft:Quectel Wireless Solutions

I, Ashleyliu, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Ashleyliu (talk) 16:44, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • This was deleted under WP:G11, so I just want to check with Sjb72 to see if they would be willing to restore it. It doesn't look that bad as far as the potential promotion goes, at least not for something at AfC, so my thought is that it would be something that would be appropriate to restore as long as you're willing to work on this. On a side note, you must disclose any potential WP:COI you may have with the article. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 19:15, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Done - as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored on request. Please edit the page to address any issues raised, and re-submit it; "Articles for creation" is not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Also, don't forget to address the promotional issues. Stephen! Coming... 06:47, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Good well-written article only deleted because it was created by a banned user —Andranik Mkhitaryan (talk) 01:02, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. @Andranik Mkhitaryan: Ask the deleting administrator Sphilbrick if s/he would be willing to restore it to draft space. In main space, the article wouldn't survive WP:AFD, since the only two sources that were cited are rather trivial paragraphs, and there is zero evidence that she meets WP:NACTOR criteria for inclusion. ~Anachronist (talk) 02:51, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There are some editors who feel that an otherwise acceptable article should not be deleted simply because it was created by a banned user. While I understand the sentiment behind that position, I think it subverts the very point of banning user so I personally don't support it. If some independent editor wants to create an article about this person, that would be wonderful.--S Philbrick(Talk) 12:46, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Sphilbrick: I'm one of those editors who believes that a good article should be kept no matter who wrote it; however, I don't agree that the articles requested by Andranik Mkhitaryan on this page are good articles (which is why I suggest restoring to draft space, if at all), and I'm especially bothered by the fact that this requester shows signs of being another sockpuppet of the article's author. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:07, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Anachronist: I won't carry out the move, but neither will I overturn it if someone else does.--S Philbrick(Talk) 17:26, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Sphilbrick: The requester has been confirmed as a sockpuppet of the creator. ~Anachronist (talk) 21:07, 19 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I request restoration of this page. —Andranik Mkhitaryan (talk) 05:29, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. @Andranik Mkhitaryan: If you read any of the responses above, you should know by now that the answer is to contact the deleting administrator, in this case Primefac and ask that the article be restored to draft space for improvement. If it were restored to main space, it would not survive WP:AFD due to the subject failing to meet any WP:MUSICBIO inclusion criteria. ~Anachronist (talk) 07:18, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The only editors who have been working on this article recently are sockpuppets. ~Anachronist (talk) 07:22, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Hkronk: there are no contributions from you in the deleted history of that article. What username were you using at the time? ~Anachronist (talk) 00:11, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I never made any changes to the page - I've only been compiling info and sources. By the time I got around to editing, the page had been deleted.

Would it be better to start a new page from scratch?

@Hkronk: Well, the deleted version is actually pretty extensive and well done. So I have restored it to draft space to give you an opportunity to improve it further: Draft:Kobi Arad.
@Favonian: @JzG: Just letting you know as a courtesy that I restored an article you deleted as G5 to draft space. The requester here isn't a sockpuppet (I had a checkuser clear it at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MusicLover650) so I am confident that Hkronk can improve the article so that it can be restored to main space in a way that wouldn't be eligible for deletion under WP:G5. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:37, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

My Wikipedia entry Pavel Bělíček does not focus on my personal autography but on my valuable contributions to cultural studies and humanities. I reduced the initial introductions to the minimum but request tolerance for my scientific discoveries.

I am an adherent of Neo-Evolutionism in an age that is infatuated with anti-evolutionalist fundamentalism and claim the authorship of a number of exquisite research projects that have not been formulated on a worldwide scale. They mostly consist in transplanting the systematics of exact natural sciences to chaotic and confused disciplines of cultural studies. My books do not propose only unverifiable hypotheses but present convincing results of years of empirical research. I wrote more than twenty English books that are not mere compilative compendia but encyclopaedias of systematic science in as many as 6 branches of scientific studies.

My Wiki entry makes important references to my books advancing the following noteworthy projects, inventions or discoveries:

the translation of English as a natural language into algebraic and logical calculi, the evolutionary account of the folktale motif-index based on the ethnology of prehistoric tribes, the discovery of evolutionary laws and stages scaling human history, the periodisation of English, American, Czech, French, Italian literature in waves, trends and statistic graphs, a new outline of glottogenesis and reclassification of languages, a new classification of ethnic tribes.

My evolutionism continues in the wake of people such as Aristotle, Theophrastus, Plutarch, Isidor of Seville, Occam, Comenius, G. Vico, Montesquieu, Darwin, Herbert Spencer, Mendeleev or Hubble and my works bring almost equally important and interesting results.

I can’t believe that you would really delete my contribution because this would mean that you are ready to delete also other aforementioned evolutionists and delete also the noble mission of Wikipedia as such.

Thank you for understanding and tolerance.

Pavel Bělíček

Note: The page isn't deleted, therefore there's no reason to undelete it. Please follow the instructions on the deletion tag in order to contest (if a speedy deletion or prod/stickyprod) or argue against (if a deletion debate) deletion. Take it up at the AfD debate, not here. This page is not for end-runs around deletion discussions, nor will admins here restore pages deleted that way. I would also strongly suggest familiarising yourself with Wikipedia policies, specifically WP:Identifying reliable sources, WP:Conflict of interest, WP:Notability (academic), and WP:Neutral point of view. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 14:45, 19 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sudhir Kumar Mishra

Hello Cabayi, I am really surprised that my page got deleted under speedy deletion. I really dont understand why it was done. I have followed all the possible norms of the wiki while creating a wiki page of Sudhir Kumar Mishra, the CEO & MD of BRAHMOS who has a very known personality in India's Missile Scientists. I would like to create a new page with the same name, but before that, I want to know if the same action will be taken for that also? Please let me know the main reason for the deletion of the page and so that I can do the needful and create the page. —Sudhirmishraji (talk) 04:53, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Sudhir Kumar Mishra, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Dlohcierekim (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review.
@Sudhirmishraji: It would be best if you continued in draft space rather than performing disruptive recreations in main space, especially if the article is about you (as it seems to be based on your username). Please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and ask the deleting admin if he'd be willing to restore Draft:Sudhir Kumar Mishra so you can continue working on it. ~Anachronist (talk) 05:30, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sudhirmishraji (talk) 06:22, 20 April 2017 (UTC) Thanks you so much Anachronist ~Anachronist, I was really not getting the point about the frequent deletion of this page. Now, I think I got the point. I will put a request to Dlohcierekim who has deleted my page and closed the discussion, to re open the page and I will make changes over there. And I am not the same person for whom I am making the page. I am just an employee of BRAHMOS Aerospace, and very new to wikipedia. While creating the wiki account to draft this page, I thought the username should be same as the page title. so I used the username- Sudhirmishraji, even my mail address can justify that thing. Anyway, better I should change the user name. Is there any way to change the username? Once again thanks for your suggestions. Or better I create a new account with my real username? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sudhirmishraji (talkcontribs) 06:25, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Waplog

This page should exist because it's a well known dating application in most of the countries in the world. The reason of deletion at first time is because there are criminal activity news in Google News related to the app. However, all dating websites and apps have criminal activity news due to their operations. Therefore, if there is Badoo and MeetMe on Wikipedia, so should be Waplog. —Enygma2126 (talk) 12:03, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Draft:Middle East Research Institute

I, YAR08, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. YAR08 (talk) 08:31, 22 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@YAR08: It's been restored, but for the last time. It's been restored multiple times in the past, and if you can't get the article in shape for publication in main article space, or if the topic just isn't notable, then it won't be restored again next time it is deleted due to inactivity. ~Anachronist (talk) 15:50, 22 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - this page was deleted in accordance with criterion for speedy deletion A7. If you believe that this decision was made in error, or that significant new information has come to light since the deletion, please contact the administrator who carried out the deletion, user Nyttend (talk · contribs). If you have already done so, your concerns can be taken to deletion review.
It was also deleted in accordance with WP:G11 (unambiguous promotion), which also makes it ineligible for restoration by request here.
Please remember that "importance" is irrelevant on Wikipedia. The criteria for inclusion for organizations are clearly described in WP:CORP. If the organization has no significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the organization, it cannot have an article here. No such sources were provided in the article that was deleted. ~Anachronist (talk) 09:00, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ed Watzke

This article was deleted today only a few hours after it was posted.

I strongly agree with the deletion. It is an translation from the German Wikipedia article about the same person. Maybe the administrator didn't realize or notice that fact!

Since it was accepted for German Wikipedia and has been there for some time, it ought to be accepted in English Wikipedia.

This person has achieved significant notability in Austria, Germany and Europe generally for the work he has done and for his achievements.

It had been suggested that I contact the administrator who did the deletion, but I have totally been unable to find a way to contact him!

So I am asking you to restore the article.

Dr. Ed Watzke, the subject, was quite delighted that the article about him would now be appearing in English as well as German; now he will be greatly disappointed!

If it needs improvement in formatting, or editing, please do that for me, as I don't know how!

Thank you. —RalphDerDeutsche (talk) 00:38, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@RalphDerDeutsche: You "strongly agree with the deletion"? Then what is the problem?
This is the English Wikipedia, and the criteria for inclusion here are generally more rigorous than for Wikipedias in other languages. If something has existed on another Wikipedia, it is irrelevant to the English Wikipedia. Each is independent and has its own rules.
The article was speedy deleted in accordance with WP:A7 because it failed to include any assertion of significance of the subject, therefore it is ineligible for restoration by request on this page. It also failed to include any references to reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Golden rule to get a brief overview of what is required before an article can be accepted here.
The deleting administrator is Anthony Bradbury. Communicate with him on User talk:Anthony Bradbury. Please do that first. He may be willing to restore the article to draft space for improvement before publishing in the main article space. ~Anachronist (talk) 09:07, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Liza del Sierra

Hello. I'd like to address the case of porn actress Liza del Sierra (BTW, most of the time her stage name is spelled Del Sierra), whose page was deleted after this discussion because she had no awards and only nominations. Actually, she has an award (a European one, at the Brussels International Festival of Eroticism) but IMHO the main argument for restoring the page is that she is mostly know in France where she has been featured several times in "notable mainstream media" (hence meeting the 3rd requirement of WP:PORNBIO). You can see examples here (Paris Première) and here (L'Obs : the article is about a documentary shown on France 2, which focused on the shooting of one or her films. The article also mentions the fact that she is well-known in France, as far as porn stars go). She may not be exceptionally notable in the US, but she definitely is in her native country. Thank you ! —Jean-Jacques Georges (talk) 09:12, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Anachronist: That is exactly what I did : I first contacted The Bushranger (talk · contribs), who told me that I should ask here.
The problem with this article is that the previous version apparently ignored the fact that she is notable in France, and that therefore we should not only take into account the criteria used for American porn stars. Also, she does have an award (a European one) and not only nominations. Does that qualify as "significant new information" ? (it is kind of "new" since it was not in the article) Jean-Jacques Georges (talk) 06:30, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Benjamin Maio Mackay

The page was about a relevant actor, director and podcaster who has appeared in more than 60 theatrical productions and been nominated for numerous awards. His podcast averages millions of listeners and his tours have all been sell-out successes. As a public figure of some fame he should be included on wikipedia. —AnActorsFriend (talk) 09:15, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, firstly I AM Benjamin Maio Mackay. Until recently I didn't know this page existed, but after a fan wrote in and altered me I was quite pleased. All the information was accurate and I had found that many of my guests were choosing the show because they felt that a host with a wikipedia was "worthy." I've never used this page as a promotional tool and I do have a dedicated following of fans (and millions of podcast listeners). I'm aware my podcasting reaches worldwide, while my acting and directing has only been in AUS. However, I've directed 7 theatrical productions (3 national tours) and performed in over 70 shows. I've earned many award nominations across Australia and played to thousands of people. Clearly I'm not famous, I don't delude myself - but my performance merits are equal to many other who appear on wikipedia. Therefore I think the page should be re-instated. Thanks in advance for your help. —MaioMackay74 (talk) 09:37, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'd like to contest this PROD, if (and only if) the previous article was about the jazz guitarist. Brandon Ross has an article in the Grove encyclopedia of jazz, which I can use to anchor the page in terms of reliable sourcing. Thanks —Chubbles (talk) 06:48, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
