Wanna One (Korean워너원) is a South Korean boy group formed on June 16, 2017 through Mnet's survival boy group reality show Produce 101 Season 2. Wanna One is a group composed of 11 members who were chosen from a total of 101 trainees from various agencies in a harsh competition over the span of three months. This group will be promoting until December 2018 under YMC Entertainment.[1] The final top 11 lineup of the group consists of Yoon Ji-sung, Ha Sung-woon, Hwang Min-hyun, Ong Sung-woo, Kim Jae-hwan, Kang Daniel, Park Ji-hoon, Park Woo-jin, Bae Jin-young, Lee Dae-hwi and Lai Guan-lin.

History

Pre Debut

Prior to debut, member Park Ji-hoon was a child actor. He appeared on such television shows as MBC's Kimchi Cheese Smile and SBS The King & I.[2] He had also made appearances on several variety shows alongside BIGBANG & SS501.[3]

In 2012, Hwang Min Hyun made his first debut as a member of the Kpop Group NU`EST. Member Kim Jaehwan made his First Appearance on Korea's Got Talent (season 2) but was eliminated during the Semi Final. In 2014, Ha Sung Woon debuted in the group HOTSHOT.


Produce 101 Season 2

The show Produce 101 Season 2 aired from April 7th 2017 until June 16 2017 where the finalised members were decided by live voting and announced via TV broadcast. The show aired for a total of 11 episodes and released 10 songs over the duration of the season.

Debut With Wanna One

Wanna One in signed to YMC entertainment and is expected to officially debut in July or August with an album.

Yoon Ji-sung

Yoon Ji-sung (윤지성) was born on (1991-03-08) March 8, 1991 (age 33). He is from MMO Entertainment along with fellow trainee Kang Daniel.

Ha Sung-woon

Ha Sung-woon (하성운) was born on (1994-03-22) March 22, 1994 (age 30). He is a member of HOTSHOT from Ardor & Able.

Hwang Min-hyun

Hwang Min-hyun (황민현) was born on (1995-08-09) August 9, 1995 (age 29). He is a member of NU'EST from Pledis Entertainment.

Ong Seong-woo

Ong Seong-woo (옹성우) was born on (1995-08-25) August 25, 1995 (age 29). He is from Fantagio Entertainment.

Kim Jae-hwan

Kim Jae-hwan (김재환) was born on (1996-05-27) May 27, 1996 (age 28). He is not in an agency, but a private trainee. He appeared on Korea's Got Talent (season 2) and made it to the Semi-Finals.

Kang Daniel

Kang Daniel (강다니엘) was born on (1996-12-10) December 10, 1996 (age 27). He is from MMO Entertainment along with fellow trainee Yoon Ji-sung. He trained for 2 years and 1 month before participating in Produce 101.For being the overall winner of Produce 101 Season 2 he was named as the Center of WANNA `ONE.

Park Ji-hoon

Park Ji-hoon (박지훈) was born on (1999-05-29) May 29, 1999 (age 25). He is from Maroo Entertainment. He gained massive popularity even before the show started because of his legendary wink at the end of Nayana performance, giving him the nickname "Wink Boy". He is also known as a former child actor who appeared in some shows with popular boy groups such as Big Bang and SS501. His self-made aegyo catchphrase "save you in my heart (내 마음 속에 저장)" became famous on social media and various broadcast platforms, leading to companies, such as Banila Co., Coca-Cola, Banana Milk, Melon and KT Corporation, using the phrase for marketing purposes.

Park Woo-jin

Park Woo-jin (박우진) was born on (1999-11-02) November 2, 1999 (age 24). He is from Brand New Music along with fellow trainee Lee Dae-hwi.

Bae Jin-young

Bae Jin-young (배진영) was born on (2000-05-10) May 10, 2000 (age 24). He is from C9 Entertainment.

Lee Dae-hwi

Lee Dae-hwi (이대휘) was born on (2001-01-29) January 29, 2001 (age 23). He is from Brand New Music along with fellow trainee Park Woo-jin. He lived and studied in California for 5 years before returning to Korea to pursue a career in K-pop. Lee Dae-hwi, is a South Korean singer-songwriter. He is best known for appearing as the center for Pick Me and finishing third in the second season of Mnet's reality show Produce 101, joining the boy group Wanna One. It is said that Lee Dae-Hwi will promote under YMC Entertainment until the end of 2018 December and will not return to Brand New Music till then.

Lai Guan-lin

Lai Guan-lin (라이관린) was born on (2001-09-23) September 23, 2001 (age 22) . He is from Cube Entertainment. Originally born in Taipei, Taiwan, he moved to South Korea to pursue a career in K-pop.
