== Inverse Warburg Effect ==

P.S. Regarding the fringe nature of the theory, here is an article in English, by Prof. Walter Bortz of Stanford Medical school, which you may find relevant: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/walter-m-bortz-ii-md/dare-to-be-100-gold-medal_b_7270616.html

Draft: AeroSource India

Hi, You deleted my draft that I was preparing: Draft:AeroSource India. I would like to clarify that it was not copied from that website and whatever was being written first hand. However the company seems to have the same description of it floating around, would request you to reinstate the article as a draft and also help me to make qualify for approval. It would be of great help. Thank you, Kushal B Kusram — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kushalbkusram (talkcontribs) 10:15, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

Flag speedy deletions

You recently deleted the redirects 🏴󠁮󠁯󠀰󠀲󠁿 , 🏴󠁧󠁥󠁴󠁢󠁿 , and 🏴󠁮󠁯󠀱󠀴󠁿 under WP:R3. In what sense are they “typos or misnomers”? — Gorobay (talk) 19:19, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

  • I have just tried on three different computers and on all three these redirects just appear as small squares or blanks or similar. Clearly they are using a very rare font that very few machines have. So tell me: what would I see if the fonts were installed? What earthly purpose do they serve? They cannot be used as search terms and they are not being used in any articles. I have a good mind to delete all 300 of the similar that you have created. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:15, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

They would look like the flags of various subnational regions. An example, with images so you can see it, is at http://emojipedia.org/flag-for-england/. The purpose is so that people who do have the fonts installed can search for them. They are not typos, misnomers, nonsense, invalid, unsearchable, or vandalism, so if you want to delete them, please take them to WP:RFD where they can be discussed. Please don’t unilaterally speedy-delete them per R3 when R3 does not apply, just because you personally see them as squares. — Gorobay (talk) 13:15, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

E-wing

Hello R Haworth, You recently deleted an attached file to the article Anne Ewing. I do not understand why. Is it because it was the wrong format (PDF vs. JPG)? Or is there another reason. I do not understand Wiki syntax well and the help pages are extremely hard for me to parse. I'd appreciate some advice. My original intention was to attach the PDF to provide a more detailed understanding of how the textbook requirements were changed. Thank you. SDFeminist2.0 (talk) 00:30, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

  • The PDF was totally useless for Wikipedia purposes. It is a primary source which we do not hold here. Upload it to your own website and then link to it from the article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:15, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

SFG Company

Hello, my first wiki page SFG Company has been deleted by you recently. It is going to be a wiki description of Ukrainian IT and media company SFG: Could you please describe how I can continue to develop this page? Maybe what should I consider the most while its creating. Appreciate your time and help. Kind regards, Alex Chumakov. Ideainfected (talk) 10:05, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

Sunny Pawar (Social Activist)

Hello, May I please understand the reason as to why this page was deleted? Sunny Pawar is a Social Activist based in Mumbai and has done commendable work wrt social service, etc. and has got press coverage for the same as well and I wish to have him on Wikipedia. Can you please tell me what went wrong or what changes can I do for the same? — VidhiV (talk) 11:00, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

  • You quoted the deletion log entry in full here but clearly you had not actually read it. One single reference was not considered sufficient "indication of importance or significance". — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:15, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

PRODs

Hi RHaworth, I appreciate your good faith concerns regarding the articles Hripsime's School for Girls (Yerevan), Fridtjof Nansen Museum, and Civil Aviation Museum (Armenia). It appears these articles were created by a new and inexperienced user. So I decided to improve them. I've added sources to these articles to fix these urgent concerns. Hopefully that'll be enough justification to remove these PRODs. Thanks! Étienne Dolet (talk) 19:55, 22 July 2017 (UTC)

  • Total absence of references to information in English so impossible for me to tell whether there are independent references. In the Nansen case: a) the grammar seems to break down circa "Refugees, Fridtjof Nansen in the design" and b) it would be interesting to know what the connection is between Nansen and Yerevan. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:15, 24 July 2017 (UTC)

Aphrodice Mutangana

Hi, Can I please understand the reason for why the page Aphrodice Mutangana was deleted? The page was well-sourced, with different references and signifiers of importance. Lutontownfc Sandbox

You deleted the Sandbox I worked so hard on. I put almost everything that came into my head into that Sandbox, such as imaginary people, characters, boxers and plans for a story. Now it has been deleted, I'd like to find a way to have this page back. I never intended to move the page to this mainspace thing, I just wanted to change the name of the Sandbox. I don't think you even have the right to delete some drafts for pages I never even intended to make. That was private content that I never wanted others to view. I demand that you get my Sandbox back, no matter what! — Lutontownfc (talk · contribs) 20:45, 24 July 2017 (GMT)

Lutontownfc, when you post anything to Wikipedia, even in a sandbox, you make it public and agree that anyone may edit it in any way, and that anyone may view it, or copy it, repost it elsewhere, or even sell it. Nor is Wikipedia to be used as a free web host for things "never intended" for the article mainspace. "Demands" are not likely to be taken seriously. Polite requests possibly might. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 02:53, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
  • What a barefaced cheek! You admit to using Wikipedia as a free host and then you have the effrontery to demand that the page be restored. If you promise to keep your fantasies a long way from Wikipedia and ask me nicely, I will email you the content of the page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:03, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

Dear RHaworth I have been messaging Natg 19 about my Sandbox pages. The Sandbox I worked so hard on, and put almost everything that came into my head, was deleted only seconds after it was nominated for deletion. I was given no opportunity to save or retrieve these pages before they were deleted. I would like to find a way to have this page back. I never intended to move the page to mainspace. I just wanted to change the name of the Sandbox. I don't think the drafts for pages that I never even intended to make should have been deleted. That was private content that I never wanted others to view. I ask that you get my Sandbox pages back as soon as possible.

Please can you reply promptly to this message as I am really worried about losing all my special Sandbox work? I look forward to hearing from you soon. — Lutontownfc (talk · contribs) 22:40, 28 July 2017 (GMT)

  • This edit deleted a message from Vanjagenije and reverted an edit of mine. However I am prepared to accept that it was a mistake rather than vandalism. (Clearly, you applied your edit to an out of date version of the page. If we look at it like this, its only falut is that it is unsigned.
Regarding your sand box, let us assume that I email you the text and that, despite your statement that it is "private content that I never want others to view", you insist on posting it to the web. Given these assumptions, where would you post it? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:25, 29 July 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Peoplesopen.net article

The article was deleted under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. The Peoplesopen.net organization and the network that it has built serves hundreds to thousands of people on a daily basis, and most likely has served millions over its 4 year history, owing to its operation in a high population metropolitan area. The above fits the guidelines for Wikipedia:Credible claim of significance. l also wrote a protest using the protest link from the speedy deletion template, citing the above, as well as an NPR audio (not text) report featuring Peoplesopen.net that can be listened to at the WBUR radio website. The article's subject fits the guidelines for Wikipedia:Notability. The protest in the talk section of the page has also been deleted within the day without any apparent review. Please restore the deleted page so l can add the claims and citaion. If l don't see the page restored or hear from you within a few days, l will rewrite the page from scratch. — Ellesmelle (talk) 10:49, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

  • I am dubious about its notability and certainly you made absolutely no attempt to provide evidence of its notability. No need to re-write from scratch - read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:03, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

l see you've responded on this talk page then deleted my message to you as well as your own response. Again, this article fits the Wikipedia:Credible claim of significance criteria. — Ellesmelle (talk) 20:09, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

  • New messages go at the bottom of this page. Please provide a link in this style to the edit where I deleted my own response. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:26, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) @Ellesmelle: If you recreate the page, it's probably just going to get deleted again. I did a search for news sources to see if I could write up an acceptable stub article you could work with, but I can't find anything, so I don't think it's possible. — Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:59, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

How to reverse a deletion?

18:34, 23 July 2017 RHaworth (talk | contribs) deleted page User talk:Yfire/sandbox How do we get it back? I tried to respond to Chris Troutman but for some reason got no response: 20:59, 20 July 2017 Hut 8.5 Chris Troutman (talk | contribs) deleted page User:Yfire/sandbox.

What I said was that...

  1. I am the owner of the web page that was similar to http://davidr.net/charts.html
  2. That web page is now gone.

I can find NO reference to this matter anywhere on your page(s) nor Chris' page(s). Maybe I do not know what I am doing? Further, I am willing to contribute the material to Wiki if that helps and I can figure out how to do it. Hope this makes sense. Thanks David R (have mercy on a former Surrey resident), Yfire (talk) 15:23, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

  • You seem to be conflating Hut 8.5 and Chris Troutperson - they are different people. I see no evidence of you trying to respond to Chris. I am not going to intone my "kindly" mantra in this case because your piece did not contain any reference to your estate agent realtor company. But it was written in an hopelessly unencyclopedic tone - we do not begin article here with "this is written for you!"! Even tidied up, I think it is likely to be rejected as essay / original research. If you want to try again: place a note in http://davidr.net/charts.html to say "the text that was here is released under a {{cc-by-sa-4.0}} licence. Re-submit a cleaned-up version and add a note one the talk page, as an HTML comment and in an edit summary explaining the copyright situation. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:26, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi RHaworth, can you explain why you deleted User:Lutontownfc/Sandbox? It was a sandbox / test page for @Lutontownfc:. Lutontownfc requested the page to be undeleted at my talk page. — Natg 19 (talk) 19:06, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

Hello. You salted the above because of repeated recreation. I wonder if you could unsalt it so that the expanded/referenced Draft:Lautaro Comas could be moved there. thanks, Struway2 (talk) 19:59, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

Suomen Ufotutkijat (FUFORA)

Hello. Im user Jarpska. The wikipage Suomen Ufotutkijat (FUFORA) was deleted by you with the reasoning that "A7: Article about a company, corporation or organization, which does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject", I just wonder why as there's 8 other nationwide ufo research associations with a page in the English Wikipedia. Those are much shorter pages than the page I was to publish, why would all neighbouring countries of Finland have their pages of this kind in English Wikipedia but not Finland? Furthermore it is a translation of the page in Finnish Wikipedia fi:Suomen Ufotutkijat, if it passes there, why wouldnt it do in English Wikipedia? On the other hand I dont see how or why A7 is referred to here as FUFORA (Finnish ufo research association) educates uforesearchers as it is mentioned in the page. — Jarpska (talk) 21:11, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

  • Kindly have the decency to wait until someone who a) knows how to create wikilinks and b) has no CoI thinks your organisation is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:26, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

All these are simple excuses for your decision. Who are you to say that if FUFORA passed for Finnish Wikipedia it wouldnt be interesting or notable enough for English Wikipedia as well as for like countries like Estonia, France, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Turkey, United Kingdom and even USA did so? CoI is absurd. Who are you waiting for? Jesus himself? Think again. Jarpska (talk) 15:46, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

RHaworth!

  • Theres plenty of people interesed in FURORA and would never ever join the association. i could be one of them! And there is plentiful ppl who would never ever join FURORA or Suomen Ufotutkijat as the registered name. Your exclamation of that anyone having this COL making this kind of page is is without prefounds! I could be an atheist on this branch as well!
  • yOUre very wrong in many occasions if i may say so. it is most apparently you dont know the branch you are deleting with for. It is about the paranormal phenomena.
  • there's plenty of ppl interestered joining FUFORA to get a meaning of their paranormal experiencies (other than just paranormal phenomena),
  • atheists or other regilions want to tell about their experieniecies of their religions or want to their contactee experiencies.

amd many times that is about contactee (with an alien) experiencies, That IS NOt restricticted to evanlutheric or catholic believes. Eventhough you thought even you could join the evancletic curhch it is not that simple as you probably might know but it is wery possile. it just requires some work. But you dont need to join the protestantic church. And I wouldnt have needed to join the FUFORA if this the question you dwell with. I was yeaars without FURORA if i saw ufos or not. So there goes your commet about CoL or whatever. Now you understand? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jarpska (talkcontribs)

  • Install an English spell checker on your machine. If you really insist on trying to submit a page, do so via AfC. The title should be draft:Suomen Ufotutkijat. If it gets accepted, you may create a redirect at FUFORA. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:35, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

Not keen on restoring

Hello RHaworth! I am new to Wikipedia and created a page for Dennis Keene that you deleted. If I am understanding correctly, the page was deleted because the content came from the Voices of Ascension website, however I do have premission from Dennis and Voices of Ascension to use the text from the website, as they own the copyrights. I have requested a Declaration of Consent this morning, I am hoping that will get approved and if so, will my page be restored? Sorry to be such a novice, this is my first time and I am doing my best to navigate all the Wiki guidelines! -- Hillary Megroz (talk) 16:35, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

  • Forget the Declaration of Consent - by the time the text was made encyclopedic, it would cease to be a copyvio. Please read this. If you are not prepared to study Wikipedia style and write an article from scratch in your own words, then don't bother. If you do bother, the title should be Draft:Dennis Keene (conductor). — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:35, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for your response. The copy that is on the VOA webpage, was written by me for Dennis Keene, so I am not sure why I have to re-write, since I already wrote it once? I apologize for my naivety, but I don't want to re-write unless its necessary, as I think Dennis is notable enough for Wiki. -- Hillary Megroz (talk) 16:54, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

  • You clearly have no sense of appropriate writing style. From "one of leading choral conductors" in the first paragraph onwards the piece was stuffed with peacock phrases. A few were attributed - without a proper link to support the attribution - but most were not. Also the horrible <h1> name at the top of the article and the shouting of that name and other shouting in the article. Compare and contrast with our articles on other conductors. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:33, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Forgive me for interrupting, but can I ask that any new attempt to rewrite Keene's bio does not include the phrase - "Maestro Keene." Thank you both. -- Roxy the dog. bark 15:54, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
  • Roxy, no need to apologise. Good faith stalkers are welcome here.
Hillary, another horror that I missed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:02, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

you deleted a draft for BrightEdge technologies.

I see my defense was ignored. I have two requests: Please provide me the information from the page you deleted. Second, please review the other company pages - Moz_(marketing_software), Serpstat, etc. If my page was unambiguously promoting or advertising, theirs most assuredly are as well. Really don't appreciate the double standard. I get you are trying to maintain the reputation here, but this is beyond the pale here. The content, while thin, was stripped of any promotional language. 3rd party webpages were cited, and i was in the process of finding more, better references to further validate the reasonable nature of the page including the recent public patent disputes which have been publicized. Please email the information from the deleted page to [redacted] so I can try to build out a more thorough article before you lot decide to delete because "reasons". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.202.210.14 (talk) 16:52, 26 July 2017‎

Sorry for this stupid automated message . Vanjagenije (talk) 21:07, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

  • Vanjagenije, I prefer to keep threads all in one place even here where the reply has little to do with the initial message. You are allowed to be horrified at an admin asking these questions. Are reviewing and patrolling the same thing? If so why has a "Mark this page as patrolled" link not come back at the bottom of the Nouman Mehmood article? How does one un-review or un-patrol an article? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:02, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

Huh, too many questins! First one is easy: yes, reviewing and patrolling new pages is the same thing. I don't know about the mark. I am using the wp:page curation tool that appears automatically when I'm viewing new pages. When page curation is used, the "Mark this page as patrolled" link does not appear, because the page curation menu has the "Mark this page as reviewed" button. Maybe you are using the curation tool too? In page curation tool, the page is easily un-reviewed by clicking the "Mark this page as reviewed" button again. Vanjagenije (talk) 22:36, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

  • Vanjagenije, I read Wikipedia:Page Curation and could not see the any instructions for turning curation on and off - somebody needs to add them if it can be turned on and off or explain how to get to it if it is permanent. Eventually, almost by accident, I noticed a "curate this page" link appearing on the left hand side of my screen - presumably for recent creations only. There is small fault in the system. As a test, I marked Tommy Vail as reviewed and promptly unreviewed it. The curation toolbar on the right thinks it is currently unreviewed but it has not returned to unreviewed status on the new pages report and the "mark this page as patrolled" link has not come back. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:25, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
    • As far as I know, the "mark this page as patrolled" link is always hidden when the page curation is used. But, I have no idea why the page has not returned to the new pages report. I thought the using of page curation is explained at Wikipedia:Page Curation/Help. Isn't it? Vanjagenije (talk) 09:42, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

Inverse Warburg Effect

Dear Roger

The Inverse Warburg effect, as cited in the Wikipedia entry, is an empirical observation which has been documented in studies of neurodegenerative diseases (ref. 1-6) and autoimmune diseases (ref. 17-20). The Inverse Warburg Hypothesis described in a separate Wikipedia Entry provides a biochemical and bioenergetic explanation of the Inverse Warburg effect. The model also accounts for the inverse association of cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. A significant feature of the model is the new class of therapeutic strategies proposed to prevent certain neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease, and chronic autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis.

The theory has generated attention in the scientific community; reports of this work have appeared in scientific publications and the news media. Pertinent news media references are: - Harvard Gazette, 25th Feb. 2015: “A new understanding of Alzheimer’s”, by Peter Reuell (http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2015/02/a-new-understanding-of-alzheimers/) - Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), 2nd Aug. 2015 : “Alzheimer: Heilung – wie nah ist man wirklich dran?“, by Joachim Müller-Jung (http://www.faz.net/aktuell/wissen/medizin-ernaehrung/streitgespraech-alzheimer-heilung-wie-nah-ist-man-wirklich-dran-13722068.html?printPagedArticle=true#pageIndex_2) - Neue Züricher Zeitung (NZZ), 21st Feb. 2015: „Alzheimer – Sind die Forscher auf dem Irrweg?“, by Theres Lüthi (https://www.nzz.ch/nzzas/nzz-am-sonntag/gegen-alzheimer-gibt-es-noch-immer-kein-medikament--weil-die-forscher-auf-dem-irrweg-sind-1.18483526)
