Why Cheat India is an upcoming Indian comedy drama film written and directed by Soumik Sen.[1] It features Emraan Hashmi and Shreya Dhanwanthary in the lead roles.[2] The film is scheduled to be released on 18 January 2019.[3][4]

The official first teaser poster was released on 28 August, 2018.[5] The official second teaser poster was released on 12 November 2018.[6]
A short official teaser of the film was released on 16 November 2018.[7] The official trailer of film was realesed on 12 December 2018.[8]
The film gets new title to a last-minute objection from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Earlier titled Cheat India, it will now release as Why Cheat India.[9]
