List of current champions in WWE

WWE is an American professional wrestling promotion based out of Stamford, Connecticut. Title reigns are either determined by professional wrestling matches or are awarded to a wrestler, as a result of the culmination of various scripted storylines.

WWE splits its main roster into two distinctive brands — Raw and SmackDown. A level below the main roster is the NXT brand. Specialty brands in WWE include 205 Live, which is for male wrestlers 205 lbs. and under (designated by WWE as cruiserweights), and NXT UK, which is for wrestlers based in the United Kingdom.

Raw, SmackDown, and NXT each have two singles championships for male wrestlers, a singles championship for female wrestlers, and a tag team championship for male wrestlers. There is one championship for the cruiserweight wrestlers on 205 Live, which is the only championship with a weight limit in the promotion, and one male singles, one female singles, and one male tag team championship for NXT UK wrestlers. There is also one tag team championship for female wrestlers in the promotion, and it is shared between Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.

Among the five current brands, 21 wrestlers hold the championships (with one vacancy) as of September 15, 2024. The list includes the number of times the wrestler has held the title, the date and location of the win and a description of the winning bout.

Current champions

At the top of WWE's championship hierarchy are the WWE Universal Championship on Raw and the WWE Championship on SmackDown. The Universal Championship is held by Seth Rollins, who won the title by defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 on April 7, 2019. The WWE Champion is Kofi Kingston, who is in his first reign. He won the title on the Sunday April 7, 2019, at WrestleMania 35 in New York City by defeating Daniel Bryan.

Secondary titles in WWE include the WWE Intercontinental Championship for Raw and the WWE United States Championship for SmackDown. The Intercontinental Championship is held by Bobby Lashley, who is in his second reign. He won the title by defeating Finn Bálor on the March 11 episode of Raw. The United States Championship is held by Samoa Joe, who is in his first reign. He won the title by defeating previous champion R-Truth, Rey Mysterio and Andrade on the March 5 episode of SmackDown Live.

The WWE Cruiserweight Championship is the top championship for the 205 Live brand, exclusive for wrestlers 205 lb (93 kg) and under; the only championship in WWE with a weight limit. The title is held by Buddy Murphy, who is in his first reign. He won the title by defeating Cedric Alexander on October 6, 2018, at Super Show-Down.

The WWE Raw Women's Championship is held by Ronda Rousey, who is in her first reign. She defeated Alexa Bliss on August 19, 2018, at SummerSlam. The WWE SmackDown Women's Championship is held by Charlotte Flair, who is in her record third reign. She won the title by defeating previous champion Asuka on the March 26 episode of SmackDown Live.

The WWE Raw Tag Team Championship is held by Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder, who are in their second reign, both as a team and individually. They won the titles by defeating previous champions The Revival on the WrestleMania 35 pre-show. The WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship is held by The Usos, who are in their record fourth reign. They won the titles by defeating The Miz and Shane McMahon at Elimination Chamber.

The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship is the only tag team championship for female wrestlers in WWE, and is shared between the Raw, SmackDown, and NXT brands. It is held by inaugural title holders The Boss 'n' Hug Connection (Bayley and Sasha Banks) from the Raw brand. They won the titles by defeating Nia Jax and Tamina, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose, The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce), The Riott Squad (represented by Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan), and Carmella and Naomi in a tag team Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber to become the inaugural champions.

The top title of NXT is the NXT Championship. It is currently held by Johnny Gargano after defeating Adam Cole for the vacant championship at NXT Takeover: New York in a 2 out of 3 falls match after former champion Tommaso Ciampa relinquished the title on the March 13 taping of NXT . The secondary title of NXT is the NXT North American Championship, which is held by first time title holder Velveteen Dream, who defeated Johnny Gargano on January 30, 2019 during the NXT tapings (aired February 20). The NXT Women's Championship is held by record two-time champion Shayna Baszler. She won the title by defeating Kairi Sane at Evolution on October 28, 2018. The NXT Tag Team Championship is held by first time champions The War Raiders (Raymond Rowe and Hanson). They won the titles by defeating The Undisputed Era (Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong) on the January 26, 2019 at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix.

The WWE United Kingdom Championship is the top championship of NXT UK. The current champion is Walter. Walter, who is in his first reign, won the title by defeating Pete Dunne at NXT TakeOver: New York on April 5 2019. The NXT UK Women's Championship is held by Toni Storm, who defeated inaugural title holder Rhea Ripley on January 12, 2019 at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool. The NXT UK Tag Team Championship is held by the team of Zack Gibson and James Drake, who defeated Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven and Tyler Bate) in a tournament final at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool on January 12, 2019 to become the inaugural champions.

Note that the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship is shared between Raw, SmackDown and NXT, but for the purposes of this chart the champions will be listed on their home brand.
