The National-Socialist Society (Russian: Национал Социалистическое Общество) was an illegal[1] ultra-right[1] Russian neo-Nazi organization founded in 2004 by Dmitry Rumyantsev (Russian: Дмитрий Германович Румянцев) and Sergei "Maluta" Korotkikh (Russian: Сергей Аркадьевич Коротких, "Mалюта", "Боцман"). The National Socialist Society proclaimed the task the construction of the Russian national state on the basis of Nazi ideology.[2][citation needed]

Some members of the National Socialist Society have been known to attack and take a video recording of people who failed to look Slavic[3] or spoke with a foreign accent.[4] In 2007, an attack was attempted on an attempted gay pride march in Moscow.[5]
