This section is here to provide answers to some questions that have been previously discussed on this talk page.
Q1: Why does the lead of this article say that posts on Parler often contain antisemitism?
A1: A request for comment determined that this statement should be included in the lead: Talk:Parler/Archive 2#RfC: Should "antisemitism" be removed from the lead? Q2: Why does this article look different than articles about other social networks, like Twitter?
A2: The coverage of Parler in reliable sources is very different from the coverage of Twitter. We strive to represent fairly, proportionately, and, as far as possible, without editorial bias, all the significant views that have been published by reliable sources on a topic (WP:NPOV), and so if the sourcing is very different, the articles will be too. If you think changes need to be made to another article, please discuss them at that article's talk page. When contributing to this talk page, please keep in mind WP:OTHERCONTENT.It is worth noting that this article is quite similar to other articles on social networks and websites which are also known for extremist userbases, such as Gab, 8chan, BitChute, etc. |
The subject of this article is controversial and content may be in dispute. When updating the article, be bold, but not reckless. Feel free to try to improve the article, but don't take it personally if your changes are reversed; instead, come here to the talk page to discuss them. Content must be written from a neutral point of view. Include citations when adding content and consider tagging or removing unsourced information. |

Reception section
I am posting this again because no one responded to me before. There should be a reception section in the Parler article similar to the one in the Gab article. X-Editor (talk) 05:16, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- I think you did get an answer, no one was bothered enough to reply.Slatersteven (talk) 10:13, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- Okay then. X-Editor (talk) 16:28, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- I have no objections to you creating a "Reception" section, if that's what you're asking. If you're asking someone else to do it, it probably won't be me. GorillaWarfare (talk) 18:28, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- I'll see what I can do, but It might take a while. X-Editor (talk) 05:17, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- I think talking about the reception of Parler is unnessicary. While I don't totally disagree with anything in this article, the entire article sort of craps all over Parler, in a tone and phrasing signifying that Parler sucks. I don't think there needs to be another section talking about "parler bad lmao" EytanMelech (talk) 15:29, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Parler offline 5/17 as of 9:52 UTC No articles about it yet, but tested through multiple browsers. Any RS? TuffStuffMcG (talk) 09:52, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
Sorry. Possible that a google router is blocking the URL, but more likely that it is a settings issue on my end.TuffStuffMcG (talk) 11:49, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
Same thing with twitter now. It appears to be affecting users worldwide. It's possible that the "scraped" public IP's of Parler users are being spoofed in Ddos attacks on multiple sites to get them blocked. Google and ISP's are having a hard time figuring it out. Any RS?TuffStuffMcG (talk) 13:39, 17 April 2021 (UTC) https://www.theverge.com/2021/4/17/22388685/twitter-partial-outage-saturday-east-coast TuffStuffMcG (talk) 13:41, 17 April 2021 (UTC)

Parler Down - Issues worldwide
Appears to be a DNS issue. Big DNS servers are refusing to resolve parler.com; including Google 8.8.8.8, Verizon and Comcast.
Any reliable sources?

- if you're interested, extensive comments by users all over the world regarding their interactions with Xfinity, Comcast, Cloudflare, etc. RS nowhere to be found yet, unfortunately.
