Gregs ties to PA

I have noticed that last night Greg knew alot about Allentown, and before he had mentioned diffrent little towns in NorthEast PA, which suprised my because I am from that area. So does anybody know what kind of ties he has to this area? I know this isnt a forum and I really shouldnt be asking it on the talkpage, but depending on what his ties are they could help the article. Fisha695 22:29, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greg's response

"I lived in the Lehigh Valley for ten years." - Red Eye, 12/05/07 Sadistik (talk) 08:20, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NY mosque

I removed the bit about the ground zero mosque and the strip club. It's not really newsworthy and was a tongue-in-cheek comment rather than an actual political stance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.155.154.172 (talk) 00:40, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently, it was reinserted. I have no problem with it being there. If a publicity stunt intended as an obvious joke merits that much of a mention, then it probably is telling of the quality of the news program. Shabeki (talk) 10:13, 11 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's WP:UNDUE and one of his many, many tongue-in-cheek routines of a similar nature. Jason from nyc (talk) 00:06, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Greg's bio

Has Gutfeld denied that he's Jewish? Where is the source that proves he's "Irish"?DVDburner123 (talk) 19:58, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

well the name Gutfeld is German (meaning The Good Field) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.164.234.206 (talk) 16:55, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know he's catholic (he's mentioned it a few times on the show) But I'm not sure about the Irish part. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.203.228.156 (talk) 22:17, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone upload a picture of Greg? A real picture of him..... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.127.93.254 (talk) 01:24, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

please don't upload on with the douchebag glasses at the end of his nose. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.47.30.187 (talk) 21:11, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

he was a guest on the oreilly factor and bill said something to him about being jewish, to which, greg responded by saying that he was not jewish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.138.73 (talk) 08:07, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Canadian Forces Controversy

I'm being less bold as this page has been semi-protected and this is a bit of a controversial topic right now. On March 22, 2009, Gutfeld issued an apology via Twitter. Being unclear on whether this is valid for inclusion, I've included the links: Flickr and Twitter. If there's no objection and I can't find a reason for not including, myself or someone else can add. MikeSoron (talk) 20:36, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On March 24th, Greg was the recipient of the most ignorent sob in this planet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.80.186.212 (talk) 02:39, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have a more formal apology I'll add, and include the Twitter statement. MikeSoron (talk) 21:43, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The twitter post was denied by Fox News who stated that Gutfeld doesnt not have twitter and did not write that.. http://www.cbc.ca/arts/tv/story/2009/03/23/redeye-soldiers-mocking.html ..last line of article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.229.224.77 (talk) 02:59, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Greg Gutfeld does not have a Twitter account. The Belgian comment is a fake! http://www.publicpost.ca/2009/03/outrage-hypocritical-canadians-military-fox-news-red-eye-greg-gutfeld/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by DaiatlasZ (talkcontribs) 03:16, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think the Cdn Forces controvery should be noted, this is the only reason I, and many Cdns I imagine, have even heard of him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.183.70.15 (talk) 20:06, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy sections are not uncommon for biographical articles and especially if the individual's actions receive international attention. In this case they did and I've restored the controversy section that was removed wholesale in 2014 without explanation, discussion, or summary. I do note that there was some imbalance to the sections and have reworded the Canadian apology section. In regards to WP:UNDUE/WP:WEIGHT, it's a commonly misquoted policy here on Wikipedia. It's a policy regarding minority viewpoints. WP:BALASPS does come into play here, but I think the event is significant in that it was widely covered, commented upon, and followed upon. The article is still not very long and more should be written about this person's career, but not at the cost of removing notable sections. Especially considering this comedian has built their entire career on making shocking statements. Arguably making it as more relevant to their career section than perhaps in most biographies. Mkdwtalk 21:29, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Three paragraphs comprising approximately the same length as the "career" section about GG apologizing to Canaduh for a bad joke. Seems legit.2604:6000:FD8B:5C00:2159:79AA:A3C7:1FD1 (talk) 13:10, 9 November 2020 (UTC)Prime Minister Zoolander[reply]

Greg's religious views

He is an Agnostic/Atheist. I properly cited the information. Quit deleting it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JokeKah (talkcontribs) 20:21, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

History of foot-in-mouth disease

Considering his history of flippant and insulting behaviour (i.e.: cracks about the Canadian armed forces, the gay bar at Ground Zero, Mariam al-Mansouri), and getting regularly into trouble for it, this article should include whatever the current approved Wikipedia wording is for "has a reputation for being something of a dick." Is there a style guide to cover this? If so, I'll gladly do the edits myself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.84.215.133 (talk) 08:24, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is none -- we have to write in a neutral point of view. We're here to provide information, not to judge. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 11:06, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.

The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 04:12, 23 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism: Request to lock page temporarily

There are persistent attempts as of now (7:48pm EST) to vandalize this page. I think from the IP addresses this seems coming from a VPN user. Can someone lock this page please for a few days? --Smghz (talk) 23:48, 24 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The best place to make such requests is at requests for page protection. --Ebyabe talk - Repel All Boarders01:44, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikidiculous

The amount of bias and misinformation on Wikipedia has grown so out of control as to make this site completely unreliable. Referring to an unarmed, nonviolent protest as an "attack" on the capital?!? Really?! Who did they attack?? And with what? Angry words? Ridiculous. MarkoOhNo (talk) 04:22, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
