Luka Magnotta has also been referenced in popular culture, most notably in the song E-GIRLS ARE RUINING MY LIFE by CORPSE in the lyric "She say I kill her cat like I'm Luka Magnotta" 119.18.0.49 (talk) 05:57, 9 April 2022 (UTCs

This is covered by WP:POPCULTURE guidelines and would need a source to establish its notability. The lyrics say "She say I kill her cat like I'm Luka Magnotta". E-Girls Are Ruining My Life! has its own article and it is more on topic there.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 06:31, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Missing page + security issue

The memorial page for Jun Lin on the Concordia University website no longer exists, and the site which hosts the archived post leaves users potentially vulnerable to "attackers" (I.e. people trying to steal personal information) Ironicnamejpg (talk) 07:09, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing this out. I added an archived version from the Wayback Machine that works correctly, but perhaps this external link is now out of date and should be removed anyway.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 07:37, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Allegedly" and "possible"?

Understandable about how he wasn't officially charged with animal cruelty, but it was Luka who posted them. Who else would be influenced by the kitty scene from American Psycho as inspiration to put those poor defenseless kittens in a fridge? Espngeek (talk) 00:09, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

But we have to comply with WP:BLPCRIME. Magnotta was being pursued by online animal rights activists and they found various photos and videos which they said were him. The problem is that they never succeeded in getting him arrested or prosecuted, and the article has to make this clear. Saying "it was him" doesn't comply with BLP guidelines.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 06:52, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No offense to WP:BLPCRIME, but that's like saying he didn't posted those vids and someone else did. Espngeek (talk) 18:34, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removed from Bibliography section

I have decided to remove the following from the bibliography section:

  • Luka Magnotta – Book Release – Biography – True Crime. ISBN 9781105848834

It has been listed there since 2013. However, I couldn't find any evidence that this book exists. It isn't listed in the American nor the Canadian library catalogue.

There is this video by BioLukaMagnotta, which claims that the book is titled New Born Killers and written by Jos Borsboom. But I couldn't find any more information on that either.

The accompanying website, newbornkillers.com, doesn't exist anymore. And its copy in the web archive doesn't include a lot of information. Adrio (talk) 22:32, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
