Whoa!
How can I thank you for the edit revert? (Re: The "External links" section of the Comsat Angels' Wiki article.) And how did you get to it so quickly? And how do you even know of the band in the first place? Or did you spot my plea for assistance on the crazy link bot's talk page? p.s.: I am registered (with username and everything!) to edit here at Wiki but have been preferring to edit without being logged in because I thought it'd save me from the aggro attached to these kinds of situations! 69.148.174.204 (talk) 07:49, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Gods, Demi-gods, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Gods, Demi-gods & Heroes. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Recently, on two of my pending articles, I was working to create articles about a special aspect about the game Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was creating some articles to explain in depth the details of the Final Smashes in the game. I was also worried that adding these onto the game page Super Smash Bros. Brawl would cause too large of an article. You see, this is a very key factor of the game, and to truly explain it and the characters parts with truly showing the people what its like, it would be too large to add onto an existing article.
My two disputed articles are Mario's Final Smash and Final Smash Attacks.
I would really like help to understand.
Thank you for your time, whatever you decide.

Thanks for reverting my talk page -- looks like that vandal has been blocked, but another IP number has a similar pattern. Oh, well! Best wishes. WBardwin (talk) 07:59, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again, I see you're quite active doing vandal patrol. Would you like some help? I'll do the best I can, I'm also deliberating on an article I'm mediating, its rather complex, but I can never stop vandal patrol for one in need :P Steve Crossin (talk) 09:57, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think the page Wikipedia:Huggle/Complaints should be moved to Wikipedia:Buggle/Complaints. I will call it Buggle until it is fixed. And, hang on a moment. I'm asking BetaCommand to approve me for VandalProof, there was some glitch because I got a username change, so I didnt get a message whether I was approved/declined permission. But of course, I would be approved :) Steve Crossin (talk) 10:08, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have used Vandal Fighter before, but I don't like it. Not automated enough. I prefer Huggle, but its broken, and betacommand is just running a bot on their account right now, they're not responding to messages, and it's doing automated edits. Steve Crossin (talk) 10:31, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You don't appear to have one, would appear to find one useful and would seem to know how to use one. Please let me know if you'd like to be nominated for one. ➨ REDVEЯS is a satellite and will be set alight 11:21, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, I appreciate the support from the two of you. I've been thinking about adminship for a little while now and if you feel I'm ready I would love the nomination. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 11:40, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I see what you're saying. If everyone picked apart every element of a game individually, it would take too much space, right? Anyway, would there be any way to go into detail about the game without it taking up too much information on the main article for the game?
P.S., there is another article sort of like how I made mine, exept for even less professional ( :) )looking, called "final smashes", that wasn't deleted.
Thanks for all your help!Darkhyp (talk) 13:36, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think the best way to do it would be to create a section in the Brawl article named something like "gameplay" and fill that with the info about Final Smashes. I have to admit, I haven't played the game but I feel the section would best be limited to how the smashes are affect the gameplay. If you go into too much detail it'll likely be removed by an editor. And in the end some references will be needed. As for the other articles I will add the same prod I did to yours. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 13:52, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello... saw your name pop up on the article just as I was about to speedy-delete it. Same thing - I couldn't find any trace of the film by name, by year, or in Arnold's bios on IMDB and Movietome. Thoughts? --Ckatzchatspy06:48, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the feedback - I've nuked it. If it's real, I'll certainly take the heat, but from what you've and I have found (or rather not found), plus given there's a few fake edits from the two, it seems pretty fake. Thanks. --Ckatzchatspy
I would like to point out that I never speedyied the template page. I speedyied the talk page because at the time there wasn't a template in that place, which is a normal CSD. In any event, I will remove the template from the talk page. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 08:44, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I put the {-hangon-} on the template page, because it said to do so on the talk page, as they don't belong on talk pages, apparently. I understand that it may be a normal CSD, but perhaps time should be given to actually develop the template? Any way, thank you for your co-operation. SomeNonaSaint (talk) 08:55, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Per comments on the talk page, I have moved the guideline into project space for wider discussion. I have also made adjustments based on your comments, but wasn't sure what your third comment meant exactly. Feel free to clarify, or make the change yourself! :) Fritzpoll (talk) 16:13, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

D: Huggle is really slow for me at the moment. So slow that I cannot do any vandal patrol :( I'm glad you're on the lookout, you're a good patroller. I'll keep trying, im only 600 edits away from the big 10,000 :D Steve Crossin (talk) 15:50, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Can you help to add a picture to the above article, I have downloaded a free picture from a camera, but don't no how to ago about putting on the article page, had a brief go. 17:41, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for tagging the user page 163.153.189.146. The district has reported that they have identified the students involved and have taken appropriate action. --NERIC-Security (talk) 18:15, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I assumed good faith the first couple times I let it slide. But replacing all those links and phrases is making a disambiguation mess for any potential reader. I'll leave a note and retract my final warning. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 19:03, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Used ais523's tool
Damn! You're editing around the clock, it seems. I looked at what you said by the RfA. After you pass your RfA, you might want to consider cutting back a bit. If you can continue to do it 'round the clock, more power to you, but I've seen too many editors burn out after prolonged periods of hyper-editing. I hope you can serve the community for a long time with the tools! Enigmamsg!19:58, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Heh, thanks for the concern. I know I work around the clock. I actually got very burned out after my first month of 5k edits. So I took a break, and since I've come back, I've just haven't let the vandals get to me. And I've had no stress at all since. As well, all the kind words from the community members have strengthened me. As I say on my user page, I do this as a hobby, which means in my spare time, which I have a lot of right now. Hopefully though, I get a better job soon and I want to try to go into college in May. Anyways, you can always TROUT me if I'm slipping. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 20:08, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, you can at least see I don't edit on thursdays as much. Which is odd since I have the least to do then. Anyways, speaking of taking a break, I've gotta start the bbq for some Backribs, you guys want any? --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 20:22, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at my contribs chart and it really looks pathetic compared to yours. You make me look like I hardly contribute to Wikipedia! *stamps away in frustration* And you can keep your ribs! So there! Enigmamsg!20:33, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I felt bad about not asking you an RFA question, so I asked you one now. (I hope I didn't posted it on the wrong rfa subpage!). Jon513 (talk) 12:38, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
AnnaJGrant is unhappy I tagged an article s/he created for speedy deletion. S/he believes that by making a minor edit to my talk page, I'll learn the "error" of my ways. Cheers for reverting his/er vandalism! Regards, Xdenizen (talk) 19:48, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your support in my recent RfA, which closed with a final tally of (75/1/0). Your trust in me is greatly appreciated, and I can assure you it has not been misplaced. I shall use these tools to the best of my ability, and will do my best not to let you down. Thank you once again, and happy editing as always! Hersfold(t/a/c)20:07, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
When I post G6s for the talk page it's usually because there is no discussion going on about improving the article. One asked for post your email ID, and the other said NPOV, not really constructive. Usually I just replace with a project tag if I can think of one. But it's not the most important thing to delete those pages. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 06:02, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA
Hello DeadEyeArrow, I'm pleased to tell you that your RfA was successful and you are now an adminstrator. Congratulations! Also, could I suggest you pop your head in at the "New admin school" where you'll pick up some helpful tips on how to use your new buttons. All the best, The Rambling Man (talk) 13:31, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Remember you must always follow the rules, except for when you ignore them. You will always pick the wrong one when you do.
Remember to assume good faith and not bite. Remember that when you are applying these principles most diligently, you are probably dealing with a troll.
Remember to use the block ability sparingly. Enjoy the insults you receive when you do block.
Remember when you make these errors, someone will be more than happy to point them out to you in dazzling clarity and descriptive terminology, usually somewhere very public.
and finally, remember to contact me if you ever need assistance, and I will do what I am able.
And whilst I'm here, may I be the first to call for you to be desysopped (to get it out of the way now)? ;o) :oD ➨ REDVEЯS is a satellite and will be set alight 13:44, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Congratulations on your successful RfA, DEA! I noticed the message you left on my talk page, and it was pretty nice. So, since you're now an admin, what administrator actions are you willing to start out with? Blocking, deleting, protecting, or any other stuff that you look forward to? You can practice this stuff at the new admin's school. Thanks! SchfiftyThree18:23, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well done! Thanks for my ASIMO too! It's rather boring actually. I was sitting here looking at it waiting for it to do something...! But seriously good luck as an admin and have fun! Regards --Camaeron (t/c) 14:06, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're very welcome. I was determined not to keep you waiting, think I managed all the various edits within the minute! Good luck with the tools, don't hesitate to give me a shout should you need any advice. All the best, The Rambling Man (talk) 14:39, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Congratulations! I'm sure you'll make a fine admin.
Now, on the grounds of my actions; sorry if it negatively impacted you, and I'm very grateful that you honestly answered the question, knowing it would most likely bring opposition, rather than go along with pressure. I'm still a bit sad about that incident; I tried to resolve the dispute without blocking anyone or protecting anything, and apparently this makes me a power-hungry sycophant who lords over others with his "power". Don't make the same 'mistake', I guess. ._. But I'll keep the mood light. Congrats again, and cheers! Master of PuppetsCall me MoP!☺16:11, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that but it still added unsourced material to the article that has no citations that probably should remained deleted (although i have decided to leave it for a while to see if citations emerge) regardless of who deleted it or why. It is the revertees responsibility to make sure they are not adding unsourced material. Templates are useful for 'anyone to point out an error. It's always new editors that make mistakes! --neonwhiteuser pagetalk18:38, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Crash and burn? While you've gotten your share of opposes, you have almost 120 supports. Yeah, I know you crossed that part out. :D Your RfA is certainly generating a lot of activity. Enigmamsg!04:55, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, DEA! I saw you blocked 172.142.176.170 for a short period of time, but he's vandalising his talk page still. Do you think it should be protected to prevent that person from editing his discussion page? Thanks! SchfiftyThree02:33, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey DeadEyeArrow, Even though I opposed your RfA, I wanted to offer my congratulations and wish you best of luck with the new buttons. If you ever have questions for a fellow admin, don't hesitate to ask. Happy editing! --Akhilleus (talk) 04:38, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, DeadEyeArrow, for your prompt revert of the attempt to delete the Gary Forrester article. It seems that the person responsible was in the process of wholesale deletions of dozens of articles, mostly on a faulty "BIO" basis, when some of the articles were clearly meritorious. I don't think there was any malicious attempt by whoever this anonymous editor was, but he or she just didn't apply a lot of thought and didn't apply Wikipedia principles. Anyway, your quick correction was excellent. A lot of effort has gone into developing the article, consistent with Wikipedia expectations.
Cheers,
--Georgette.mccallum (talk) 05:39, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm doing research on the effectiveness of wikipedia's user-policing policies and I noticed that you caught the random vandalism I put on pages relatively quickly. I hope I didn't pester you too much, I was just wondering how you noticed the very first piece of vandalism. The sites I was vandalizing included "zach gilford" "the last winter" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Haichen (talk • contribs) 07:30, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
