Why does this primary source keep getting deleted?

Full recordings of the September 23 and September 30 meetings are available online http://www.burnaby.ca/Our-City-Hall/Mayor---council/council-Meetings.html

(From the Derek Corrigan page) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karen Middlefield (talkcontribs) 18:22, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Re the Corrigan page. I did include articles from newspapers, including a letter to the editor from a mathematician who was at the meeting and who questioned the fact that the mayor and council did specious studies. I also included a link to the city's own statistics. It seems to me that there is a reluctance to actually have accurate information on this page. It's not supposed to be a mayor's PR page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karen Middlefield (talkcontribs) 18:38, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Karen - I have reverted the article to its state before I became involved. Please take the article, add in direct quotes from your supporting references, and add inline citations from these references to support sentences and paragraphs. I'll keep an eye on the article. Try to do all of these edits at once and be sure to include an edit summary to keep other vandal-patrollers from mistakenly reverting it. Let me know when you've completed this and we'll try to make sure the section can remain in the article. Regards, --Slazenger (Contact Me) 18:52, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi folks, I've removed Karen's content and primary source, again. This issue has already been discussed at BLPN [1] and her content violates WP:BLP and WP:UNDUE. Please come to the talk page for further discussion. Thank you.--KeithbobTalk 19:21, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Friend !

Hi , Dear Friend Slazenger when I was going through the aimp found preview release . I felt preview release happened long before and thought of removing it. Because its currently in stable release than preview stated . current update also not updated. Think might be not updatable in wikipedia .

I dont know if it hurt your matter .Pardon — Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.68.116.247 (talk) 18:30, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

hi, I removed those section other charted song because there were no sources. I said that as reason in the edit summary, just check the view history before accusing me of something — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.159.238.200 (talk) 18:44, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you also reverted the removal of content. However, despite addressing it on the talk page, the IP continues to remove the section. I don't want to risk violating WP:3RR, so would you mind having a look at it and if you also view it as vandalism, could you undo the IPs edits. Thank, Oddbodz - (Talk) (Contribs) 18:59, 18 November 2013 (UTC) [reply]

Information icon This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident in which you may be involved. Thank you.

Bogatyr and tsarevna!

You do not respect Russian culture! You spit in it! I'm trying to fix someone else's mistakes, wipe someone else's shit. I do not blame you, the Anglo-Saxons, perverted alien culture, changing the title to more meaningful to you! Saxon geek! Damn you! Fascists!

  • The article on the play is written from the Anglicized version of it, rather than the historical Russian perspective. As such, titles and the information in the article comes from that perspective. There is an article about the Russian version on the Russian Wikipedia, however. So I apologize if you feel that we are doing this in error, but it is done due to regional differences. Regards, --Slazenger (Contact Me) 03:01, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Barry Houston

Hi Slazenger,

I made the edit to the title of this page as the BLP is about Todd Passmore, not Barry Houston therefore the title is misleading. Cheers B — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.120.16.132 (talk) 23:34, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Done - I'd suggest you register an account, due to your IP and IP range being used frequently for vandalism. Your edit got caught in the middle of a revert of around 20 edits to go back to the original, un-vandalized article. I have struck your warning, but I very strongly suggest you make an account to avoid issues in the future. Thanks and happy editing. --Slazenger (Contact Me) 23:38, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Danny Webb

Danny "The Dancer" Webb is a well know figure in the Basingstoke community having amassed more than 600 views on YouTube with his unique style of impromptu dancing. I'm sorry if it caused any offence or didn't seem legitimate, maybe I should have put him in the entertainment section? Good day Slazenger. Good day. Danny xx — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dannywebb69 (talkcontribs) 13:36, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Danny, your edits were reverted for a few reasons including the fact that Danny might not be considered as 'notable' as per Wikipedia standards and also due to the fact that no references were given for the claims you made - see WP:NOTE and WP:VERIFY. Additionally, there might be a conflict of interest as well, considering your username. If you have any questions or would like my help, please let me know and I will see what I can do for you! Regards and happy editing! --Slazenger (Contact Me) 13:41, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have to say, on behalf of the community of Basingstoke and Dean, I am shocked and appalled that you have taken down the page that I made for Danny "The Dancer" Webb. He is a local hero and deserves more recognition that a few YouTube videos and a Wikipedia page. You have deeply offended our town and therefore it's second most famous former inhabitant, Tom Cleverley. I hope you will take the necessary steps to correct this profound injustice. Also two people being called Danny is hardly a "conflict of interests"... Livecams

Hello Slazenger! I'm new here and would like to add some links to wonderful livecams with fantastic views and I really don't want to violate any rights.--Chrissperl (talk) 15:14, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Chris, I mentioned a consensus that was informally reached in our IRC regarding your addition of the livecams on the editor's talkpage who warned you. I suggest you go there and discuss it with them. I appreciate you trying to help enrich Wikipedia and wish you happy editing in the future! Regards, --Slazenger (Contact Me) 10:17 am, Today (UTC−5)
Hi again, Slazenger! It seems I added to many links to different cities so that the user ohnoitsjamie warned me not to spam Wikipedia; but now it seems like all the links I already set are deleted, away! I worked on that for hours and now everything is deleted! Can't you restore these links please? --Chrissperl (talk) 16:40, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No. We don't permit link canvassing, per the links in the warning message above. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:43, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Chris, as I mentioned earlier, this needs to be addressed with them. I cannot act as the gatekeeper in this matter. Since they have been the ones to act on it, they are the ones you need to bring this up with. There are a few WP policies that this could be construed as violating, and I'm sure they'd be happy to discuss them. Please feel free to use my talk page as a place to hash it out. --Slazenger (Contact Me) 16:46, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Links to live webcams should not be included in the External links section of an article, from my point of view. I'm not sure how does it contribute to make the corresponding article better. WP:EL doesn't particularly says anything related to Live webcams therefore I've left a message there on the talk page seeking other editors view. However, I find WP:ELNEVER closest. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 16:59, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • You went through the article and capitalized all letters of 'God' throughout. God is a proper noun and considered a name, and only the first letter should be capitalized. The additional capitals are not needed for emphasis or anything else. Hope that clears it up. --Slazenger (Contact Me) 16:38, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I want to retrieve Dar (tribe) which has been tagged with Dhar

The Dar (tribe) is quite distinct from Dhar where it is being redirected, but I do not know how to retrieve the old Dar (tribe) article which has been perhaps vandalised by the person who has put a redirect for Dar (tribe). This vandalism is continuing with all kashmiri muslim tribes under totally unrelated hindu castes without any basis. I think it just brings down the reputation of wikipedia as "encyclopedia" source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Imkan125 (talkcontribs) 17:08, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Imkan, I understand your frustration with this issue. However, the articles you were editing were merged by user User:Anupam back in 2011. I would suggest going to their talk page and discussing your concerns. I have no familiarity with the topic and thus I am a bad point of contact. If you are unable to reach any consensus with User:Anupam, I would suggest you try WP:DR or WP:RFC to get some outside opinions that can hopefully help you out. Good luck and happy editing! --Slazenger (Contact Me) 23:08, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ossory

Hi, I recently edited a page on the Kingdom of Ossory, which was halted due to lack of citations. I would offer many citations, but I don't know how to do that. In my academic training, the history of Ossory was one of my foci. I'm just not adept in using Wikipedia properly to understand how citations are made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.252.17.39 (talkcontribs) 13:36, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have reverted the article to how you had it and I will do my best to help give you the tools to make the article succeed. A few notes and pages for you to check out: WP:RS, WP:VERIFY. and WP:CITE. Those three links should give you all the information you need to help cite things properly and allow you to enrich the article on Ossory. Additionally, my main concern with your addition is the length of the section on Kings and how you have it organized at the moment. See WP:EMBED and WP:L for how to properly include lists in Wikipedia articles. Lastly, there is currently another article dedicated to the Kings of Ossory: see Kings of Osraige. My suggestion would be to remove the list of kings you've entered in the article and instead work on this additional article with the kings. It is linked within the article on the Kingdom of Ossory. Please don't hesitate to seek me out for advice and guidance at any step along the way. I'll keep an eye on the article and lend assistance where I can. You're the expert on Ossory, I'm the expert on (many aspects of) Wikipedia. Together we'll nail this. Regards and happy editing, --Slazenger (Contact Me) 04:45, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! You're very helpful. It's quite late where I am and I will be heading to bed soon, so this will be an ongoing project as time permits. Some questions for today: 1) how do you link to something that might have multiple names? 2) What exactly does a vertical slash (|) do in a linked word? 3) Should there be a separate page for the kings of Ossory? Can they be combined? I will remove the historic kings list for the time being, to focus on the more general rise and fall of the kingdom through certain leaders. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.252.17.39 (talk) 04:58, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I numbered your questions for ease of response. 1) If you talking about an internal link (where square brackets are used), there should only be one name for any person/place/etc. If you're talking about external links, you may have to go further into detail for me to respond to that. 2) In internal links when you are attempting to link to a page... you use [[xxxx]] to link to it. That will include a clickable link to another Wikipedia page and it will be named exactly as the article appears. If you want to link to that article but want the clickable link to read something other than what the name of the article is...for example you want to link to the article on Kings of Osraige but want to have a sentence like "And all of the kings were descendants..." with the word "king" being the link, you would use [[Kings of Osraige|kings]] and then the link would be word "kings". 3) Given the length of the list of kings and due to the fact that the article has already been established with a list of kings, I would say that's where the list should remain. Certain kings that may have had a huge impact can certainly be mentioned in the article on the Kingdom, however. Hope that answers everything! --Slazenger (Contact Me) 05:09, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Although this is a different IP address, I am the same "Ossory expert" you chatted with the other night, as seen above. I'm still learning how to properly edit Wikipedia and cite, but its coming along. I added a part about Ossory's "Notable Saints", as a number of Ireland's major saints have either worked in or come from Ossory. Citations will be forthcoming. Please restore the Notable Saint paragraph, as Ossory's saints are historically more important and had a larger impact on the region and its history than even the former kings. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.10.150.107 (talk) 22:26, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, Ossory also features in a several popular computer games. And lastly, as the kingdom eventually fractured amidst competing rulers, it is difficult to say with certainty when exactly the "kingdom" was disestablished. This could be as early as 1194, when the last king of Ossory proper was installed, or as late as 1537, when the last man who could claim the throne of Ossory (but who only held onto a small portion of northern territory) eventually submitted formally to King Henry VIII of England. So expect more edits from me at either of these two IP addresses regarding the Ossory page. When I learn how to properly cite, I will load this page with a plethora of citations and hyperlinks to outside pages. In the mean time, I've been linking like crazy to other relevant historical pages on wikipedia. Believe me when I say, I am an expert on Ossory. Ri Osraige (talk) 22:39, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit

Hi,

I'm not sure which edit you're talking about as not constructive in the Waterloo, Iowa Wiki listing. I updated one individual's current occupation and added another individual who would qualify for inclusion in the list of notables. I felt both edits were constructive and appropriate. I'm not sure how this works but I'd be happy to listen to your argument regarding the edits. Take care.

  • Patrick, I reverted your edit due to the inclusion of Paco, who doesn't seem to meet Wikipedia's standard for notability. If you could find a reliable secondary source to use as a reference for the addition of Paco in the article, it would lend credence to its inclusion. Hi Slazenger Thank you for your edit. I actually deleted the post because I had initiated the editing/talk on Haruko Obokata's biography about the contribution of other people to her discoveries but I found out that the consensus was for my editing to be ignored. Therefore, I removed all the Talk I had initiated since it seemed I was mistaken. Let me know what you think and if we need to keep the Talk page undeleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.54.130.243 (talk) 06:40, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your user talk archives

Just wanted to let you know that I've declined your requests for deletion on the user talk archives: as you may remember, we generally don't delete user talk pages. If you have good reason for deletion, let me know and I'll reconsider; if I remember rightly, most of the user talk deletions I do are instances of re-archiving, e.g. someone decides to copy/paste the archive contents to a different set of pages and doesn't need the old ones anymore. Nyttend (talk) 01:42, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I was simply trying to avoid confusion as my talk header points to those outdated manual archives now (and that template is out of my control) now that I've begun to using Miszabot to deal with my archival. If it can't be done, it's not an issue. Thank you Nyttend! --Slazenger (Contact Me) 09:18, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If I understood you correctly, your problem can be solved by moving the archive pages that you do not want to be displayed in that template to a title that does not match the User talk:Slazenger/Archives/Year/Month format. Smtchahal (talk) 13:21, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I just realised that I did misunderstand you. Assuming that you were talking about archives 1, 2, 3 and 4 (you recently requested deletion of these), I have appended |noarchive=yes parameter to {{talkheader}} template on your talk page. This should prevent the template from showing those archives. Smtchahal (talk) 13:48, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the speedy deletion template from PowertripRadio, as the author has resumed editing. —Josh3580talk/hist 18:32, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The original CSD was for A1, and still applies in my opinion. The editor began editing above the CSD template, causing it to get lost. Sorry for the confusion. --Slazenger (Contact Me) 18:34, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I moved the templates back to the top, and noticed that the article was basically an attack page, disparaging multiple people. I blanked the page, and added the G10 rationale. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. —Josh3580talk/hist 19:04, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You misunderstand National flags atributed to Ireland and the UK. What is your Nationality? Ireland comprises 32 Counties. 6 of these counties comprise Northern Ireland and 26 of these counties comprise the Republic of Ireland. Together, these areas represent IRELAND, an indivisible Unit since the dawn of time. The flag of Ireland (32 Counties) is Green,White and Orange in equal proportions to represent both the Nationalist and Unionist populations equally that live in IRELAND. The flag of Great Britain does not represent IRELAND historically or currently. The flag of Great Britain represents an agglomeration of England,Wales and Scotland. The 6 county area of "Northern Ireland" is contested and so does not have an agreed flag, therefore the flag of Great Britain (England,Scotland and Wales) cannot be ascribed to it. The ancient Ulster flag represents this area, but many Plantation settlers (originally from England and Scotland) do not recognise this historical fact. You cannot place the flag of Great Britain under the sub-heading "Regions" on a Wikipedia page, because Great Britain is NOT a region. Northern Ireland/Ulster is a province of the United Kingdom/Ireland respectively. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.7.47.225 (talk) 19:56, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I understand your sentiment however this article has used the flag of the United Kingdom to represent Northern Ireland for a very long time. As such, proposing to change this should be discussed on the talk page. Once a consensus is reached there, the article can be accordingly changed. --Slazenger (Contact Me) 20:01, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit of Menudo (soup) was wrong. The soup is terrible, and the article should warn that. I gave reference that review the soup. I tried a kind of the soup. Although the meat looked like chicken, it was rubbery like clams or chunks of fat. I believe the references I found, because my experience of the soup is that is a terrible soup. --75.36.38.134 (talk) 21:28, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Revert misclick

Just to say you may have misread the edit you reverted here, perhaps mistaking it for a mainspace edit; it was just someone making an unconvincing but innocuous argument with some links, on my talk page. --McGeddon (talk) 16:30, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you McGeddon - I did indeed revert that after mistaking it to be a mainspace edit. A similar edit had been made in the mainspace by the editor and I wrongly assumed this one was as well. I've gone ahead and struck the warning from the user. Thank you for bringing this to my attention and my apologies. --Slazenger (Contact Me) 16:33, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your vandalism accusation

I have made a new page for Cockeysville Middle School. Therefore the redirect link is not needed. Please change the redirect link to my page for Cockeysville Middle; you can find it in my contributions.

It's why I removed the redirect link, I wasn't vandalizing.

Dear Slazenger

I'm being screamed at by Wikipedia admins about my CMS page. Please look at my talk page.

I reported an admin (DMacks) for blanking my page on CMS. His reason was because of an old discussion on deleting the article. I was creating this article to fix the problems listed in the deletion discussion, but once I confronted him I got shouted at by two admins. I'm not sure what to do please help.

Note that I reverted DMacks' blanking. Look at the revision history for it: Cockeysville Middle School — Preceding unsigned comment added by CatcherStorm (talkcontribs) 23:23, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ossory

Hello Slazenger, I find myself in a tough situation with the Ossory page. Two users in particular are continuously deleting my edits, making progress difficult without getting into an edit war. I am new to this, and don't know the ropes: how to proceed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ri Osraige (talkcontribs) 22:37, 3 March 2014 (UTC) Ri Osraige (talk)[reply]

  • Hey! Glad to see that you're back editing. You're going to want to discuss the edits and things you're adding on the article's talk page and invite the other editors to participate until you reach consensus. See this: WP:AN3, WP:DR, and WP:DRR if that isn't productive. That way another third party can become involved in an official capacity. Hope that helps! --Slazenger (Contact Me) 23:14, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
