RE: Your comments at my talk page.

I find it amusing that you'd left all those messages at my talk page when actually it is you who is disruptively editing Wikipedia by arbitrarily changing the personalities in the infoboxes and afterwards reverting my changes without a single valid reason. You should discuss your actions first if an editor reverts them, not instantaneously revert their changes and leave a couple of templates in their talk page so that you can ask for a block later. --190.19.77.102 (talk) 05:30, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikilinking

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.

I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

  • dates
  • years
  • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
  • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

This applies to infoboxes, too.

Thanks, and my best wishes.

Your recent editing history at Mexicans of European descent shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. A tag has been placed on Sensato del Patio requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. STATic message me! 00:45, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Double check?

Inhakito, thank you for all of your contributions. I was checking the ENI-2012 ([1])source on the Haitians in the Dominican Republic page, and I don't know if the numbers for spoken languages pertain to the Haitians who are already living in the DR. On page 163 of it, it says, "Based on the results of the research, 96.3% of those born in Haiti said that their mother language is Creole, 1.7 Spanish etc..." To the 5% that is from abroad, these figures do not factor the ones already living there. To the Haitians born in DR, that number should most likely be the opposite, however I don't know if there is a true source that meets all these conditions which are: a. Haitian immigrants to the Dominican Republic (5% of the Dominican population) b. Haitians born in the Dominican Republic and Dominican citizens born to a Haitian parent (2% of the Dominican population) c. Both Dominican citizens and Dominican-born Haitian citizens with any Haitian ancestry (11% of the Dominican population). This is a huge difference. Do you see what I mean? Thank you for your time. Savvyjack23 (talk) 02:21, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, on page 130 under the same source for religion, there is a similar case. It only discuses the Haitians who were born in Haiti (the 5%). Savvyjack23 (talk) 02:33, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You reverted my edition, but i explained in my previous editon that -ez doesn't mean "son of" (neither in gothic language nor hebrew). It is a common myth, the suffix -ez is probably related to the common Germanic suffix -iks or -ichs. --Davius (talk) 23:10, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

(See section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

African American

Hi Inhakito. Editors are trying to establish what would be the best lede paragraph for this page here. Some of the suggested phrasing involves Caribbean Americans. Saint-Domingue/French Santo Domingo

While I enjoy the majority of your edits and contributions to Wikipedia, I strongly disagree with these categories because this is how it becomes abusive. The term Creole, isn't a term that these Haitians and the ones that fled refer to themselves as. That is more or less an American New Orleans adoption to distinguish themselves ethnically from other Americans and African Americans more or less to keep their identity alive. Between 1795-1809, Santo Domingo did become part of Saint-Domingue constituting for the entire island, governed mostly by Toussaint Louverture. Nowhere do I see Haitians having a Saint-Domingue descent or Creole label. Why? Because it is incorrect. Does George Washington have an English colony descent category? How about Benedict Arnold, America's traitor who sided with the English during the American revolution and was executed? Did he have time to claim his American citizenship? No, but he is still an American. The descent category is not denoting one's nationality as you are to believe. It is in fact dealing with ethnicity. These people from Saint-Domingue spoke French as well as Haitian Creole, it was their culture whether or not they stuck around to get a "passport". The affranchis and whites were of French descent (again clearly denoting ethnicity than a citizenship). The Bonnellys as well as the Montas escaped Haiti only to be governed by them from 1822-1844. During this time, Dominicans were Haitians. This dispels this category even further when deciding if it should be applicable. I often see articles like Máximo Gómez born November 18, 1836 in Baní, Dominican Republic? There wasn't a Dominican Republic. But "identity" speaking, culture etc. these people were distinct from the French western side of the island. How many of these articles could be changed to "Haitian descent"? Quite a lot, but I think it will be counterproductive just as these categories you are introducing are. However, keep up the good work. Savvyjack23 (talk) 07:35, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
