It seems odd that some of the ext links have an "official site" qualifier. 203.173.186.163 (talk) 06:33, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

– Clearly the golfer is now the primary topic. He's been top 10 in the world for a few years and has won a major. Page view stats are overwhelming. The-Pope (talk) 16:03, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- Mild Oppose probably he does pass the threshold in of more than 66% references in Google Books, just. However there's still a good chance of mislinks with Jason Day (fighter) (born 1981), Canadian mixed martial artist, Jason Day (actor) (born 1985), Peruvian actor, Jason Day (rower) (born 1970), Australian Olympic rower, and (golfer) appears to be helping readers find the golfer at the moment. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:38, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose – moving a title to a more ambiguous title based on recent popularity via a primarytopic grab does nobody any good. Dicklyon (talk) 17:12, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- Strong support, per the golfer establishing himself as far more notable than the competition + pageviews pointing overwhelmingly in his favor. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 02:12, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support. Seriously? 99% of pageviews for the golfer? And we'd rather send readers to the dab page because...? Dohn joe (talk) 03:26, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support per overwhelming page view statistics in favor of the golfer. -- Tavix (talk) 00:43, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support there has been a large spike recently, such that the golfer has received 98.6% of page views over the last 90 days. But even looking at the first two months of the year when there was less traffic, he still received 94% of the page views. If that is not enough to establish a primary topic then I don't know what is. Meanwhile, I can't see any basis for the oppose that claims "recent popularity". The rower's article was created yesterday and the other two have barely advanced beyond stub level in the years that the articles have existed. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 01:04, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support An obvious primary topic if I ever saw one. Let's see what the other topics are: some Peruvian actor with a thin IMDb and a whopping 11 credits, a retired martial artist with a 61% win rate who fought mostly non-notable people, and an Olympic rower who went home empty-handed and has not been active in his field for 15 years. If one of these folks somehow manage to rise above a PGA champion and world no. 1 golfer in the future, I'll eat my hat. Nohomersryan (talk) 12:50, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support - easy primary topic. Unreal7 (talk) 20:23, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support per Nohomersryan's sound and accurate analysis about the alternative topics. 98.6% of page views is also a solid enough evidence of the golfer being the primary topic for our readers. Cavarrone 06:51, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support per Nohomersryan and other arguments of Primary use policy. CookieMonster755 (talk) 03:24, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support - pageviews & easily the primary topic. Kingutd (talk) 01:43, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
