01:58:39, 17 May 2020 review of draft by LittleDinghy

Today I created my first Wikipedia account, created my user page and sandbox page, and started editing on my sandbox page using "Edit," which I'm more comfortable with than the "Edit Source." What I've written so far on the page explains how I want to use the page. Using "Edit," I've added two equations on the page, both numbered by using the citation feature. However, the citation list is not showing at the bottom of the page as I expected. Note that I put the equations in the citations as well, so as to have a list of all equations on the page in one place, with a link back to each equation reference on the page.

How can I get the equation citation list to show when published? It shows when in "Edit" mode, but not when published.

Thank you! LittleDinghy from Seattle.

LittleDinghy (talk) 01:58, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@LittleDinghy: look if you set a custom group attribute on <ref>, you need to add a group to {{reflist}} as well. Victor Schmidt (talk) 15:21, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

05:05:18, 17 May 2020 review of submission by Viki Tuber

I want to present Indu Devi Tard on Wikipedia. I want you to improve the article.

Viki Tuber (talk) 05:05, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Viki Tuber Your draft was rejected, not just declined, meaning there is little to no chance it can be improved enough to meet Wikipedia standards of notability- this person does not seem to meet the definition of a notable politician. We can't improve your drafts for you- it is up to you- but again, in this case, no amount of editing will help. 331dot (talk) 06:59, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

06:38:57, 17 May 2020 review of submission by Brosenow

My question is what is the difference between his page being published and Undrafted free agents from this years draft class Brosenow (talk) 06:38, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Brosenow Please see other stuff exists; as this is a volunteer project where people do what they can when they can, and can only act on what they know about, it is possible for inappropriate articles to go undetected. That isn't a reason for yours to exist. If you'd care to give an example of an existing article like yours, we can give you a better answer, but either 1) the existing article meets a different notability criteria or 2) the article is inappropriate and just hasn't been addressed yet. It appears that Malik Taylor does not meet the Wikipedia definition of a notable football player because he has not yet appeared in a NFL game. Once he does, he will merit an article. You can certainly maintain your draft until the football season to see if he appears in a game. 331dot (talk) 07:03, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

10:00:58, 17 May 2020 review of submission by Ogeode

I am requesting a re-review because my initial copy was rejected. I have made several adjustments to the post so far. I also sorted help from the chat room and made the recommended adjustments. Thanks. Ogeode (talk) 10:00, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ogeode. AllBaze is user-generated promotional content, not an independent reliable source. This Day (via PressReader) is churnalism that briefly quotes Ogboruche; it is not significant coverage of him. The two pieces in The Guardian (Nigeria) similarly quote him briefly but are not significant coverage of him. Gospotainment.com doesn't mention Ogboruche. A personal blog like www.lindaikejisblog.com is not a reliable source, and must never be used as a source of information about a living third party. That particular post is a press release from Tehila Records. If you could prove it was written by Ogboruche, you would be allowed to cite it, but it would not be an independent source, so would not help establish notability.
Rejection is meant to convey that the topic is not notable (not suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia). No amount of editing can fix that problem, it's hopeless. So volunteers do not intend to review the draft again. --Worldbruce (talk) 12:42, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your very detailed feedback Worldbruce. I get the picture now. Ogeode (talk) 05:51, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

10:43:45, 17 May 2020 review of submission by Giraffer

Hi,

I tried to create an page for my userbox (in my sandbox) to be published under the name 'User:UBX/CGPGreyCatan' but it got rejected as it was said to be empty. I have already posted about this on the teahouse but I thought AfC might be helpful as well.

I'm not entirely sure why it got rejected. The user (not bot) that rejected it said it was blank but it has a userbox on it. Is this the wrong place to create a userbox?

Thanks in advance, Giraffer (talk) 10:43, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Giraffer. Potential articles go through the Articles for Creation review process. Userboxes are not potential articles and should not be submitted for review. You can test your userbox in your sandbox, then copy it to wherever you plan to host it, such as User:UBX/CGPGreyCatan. You don't need to involve anyone else. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:05, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mdecastrog (talk) 10:55, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Mdecastrog: Presumably @Theroadislong: has more on this, but I suspect that the sources in the draft are either unreliable or independent of the subject. I have added the AFC template to the top so you can submit it once the issiues are resolved. Note that I know that you can move it back to mainspace whereever you wish, but it's not recommended. Hi Lt.SpectreJinx Valdez. It appears that AISHL will be deleted. Not only is the group not notable (not suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia), the article doesn't even make a credible claim that they are important or significant. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:15, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

15:12:26, 17 May 2020 review of draft by Fraserburgh

Good evening! I am puzzled as to why a reference to an article in the major Hong Kong daily newspaper, for example, is regarded as unreliable or unverifiable. If you are unable to see the article, I can send a cutting as an email attachment. Also, why is a reference to Asian Cha, an online literary journal based in Hong Kong regarded as unreliable or unverifiable? If I provide a reference, do you also require it to be repeated as an in-text citation? Grateful for your guidance! Fraserburgh (talk) 15:12, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not clear that anyone has said they're unreliable? BUT YouTube and blogs ARE unreliable, it would help if you removed them. Theroadislong (talk) 15:21, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why did my Snake Bite article get declined? $2048cupcakes (talk) 04:13, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. Sulfurboy (talk) 06:19, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft is currently highely promotional, which is out of Wikipedia's purpose. I've highlighted soem of the problematic text material using a different text color. Note that your draft currently cites zero reliable sources that are independent of the subject, and therefore fails WP:NCORP. If you havent already, I recommend going through WP:Your first article. 217.68.167.73 (talk) 08:10, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

06:34:52, 18 May 2020 review of draft by Joocha

Hi all, I add "bio" about some person, but this bio already few times declined, by this reason.

Link: "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Giga_Agladze"

Reason: "This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia."

Can you help me what i to do, that this article was correct?

Joocha (talk) 06:34, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Joocha You need to review the Wikipedia definition of a notable creative professional and gather independent reliable sources with significant coverage of this person that can be summarized in an article. I'm no near to be affiliated with him. But i saw this draft online and edited it. But why you guys keeps rejecting him? I saw other wikis who shouldn't be anywhere but they are on Wikipedia. Sarcastic right? Are you guys even notable to become an admins of Wiki?? I use to be a user with reviewer role i left it because of crapy admins. No offense to you. But that's the ugly truth. I first joined Wikipedia on 2003. 41.143.109.56 (talk) 12:35, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@41.143.109.56: you don't need to be notable to become an admin on Wikipedia. In fact, more than 90% of the editors I interact with are not notable or at least don't have an obvivous article on themself]]. Further, I recommend that you have a read of WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. As most of the editors here do that in their free time, its entirely possible for inappropiate content to go undetected even for years. We can only act on things we know about. My draft was rejected by notability, but I don't understand why it is not notable. Koto1749 (talk) 13:43, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Koto1749 As you were told by the reviewers, it appears that the person you were writing about does not meet Wikipedia's special definition of a notable person. "YouTubers" rarely do- and only if independent reliable sources have given them significant coverage. 331dot (talk) 14:21, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
331dot Well, I showed independent Japanese reliable sources and I didn't only show YouTube page. I think these are understandable by Google translation for English speaker.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Koto1749 (talkcontribs)
Koto1749 You could ask the reviewer directly if they translated the Japanese sources, but it's entirely possible that they did. 331dot (talk) 14:38, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

14:36:04, 18 May 2020 review of submission by Enzz.v

Good afternoon, My article keeps being refused by admins. I now have added 3 sources to prove the information that I have written but it keeps being refused for references reasons. Can I please have some help on the reason why my article is refused and how to get it accepted? Thank you very much in advance Enzz.v (talk) 14:36, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Have you read WP:NSCHOOL as previously suggested? Theroadislong (talk) 14:41, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Enzz.v It is not necessarily administrators that are declining your draft. The reviewers have told you why they declined it- is there something that you don't understand about the explanation? Your draft does little more than tell that the school exists. Wikipedia articles must do more, they must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage state about the school. If no such sources exist, it would not merit an article. 331dot (talk) 14:42, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That is a useless explanation. I have seen other schools with 1) only their website as a source 2) No more information that this one and they are live on wikipedia. Also all the sources cited provide enough information to prove that the school exists!

@Enzz.v and 331dot: Please have a read of WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Many articles on Wikipedia were created before we we began the ridiculous articles for creation process, and we can only act on things we know. If you could provide a link to such article, we could act on this. Victor Schmidt (talk) 16:28, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Enzz.v Other problematic articles existing does not mean yours can too. See WP:OSE. As this is a volunteer project where people do what they can when they can, it is possible for inappropriate articles to go undetected, even for years. We can only address what we know about. Feel free to point out these other articles so action can be taken. As I said, it is not a matter of proving that the school exists. 331dot (talk) 16:31, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) Hi Enzz.v. Wikipedia is forever a work in progress. It contains high quality articles and poor quality articles. Articles about schools are an interesting case. They have long been required to be notable in order to be included, but for many years there was a parallel contradictory practice that as long as they were high schools or above and could be proven to exist, they would not be deleted. The inconsistency was more or less resolved a few years ago, and substandard school articles are gradually being improved or deleted. The existence of articles that do not meet Wikipedia's current policies and guidelines does not mean they are "allowed". It may simply mean that no one has gotten around to deleting them yet. They are not a good excuse to create more such articles. The essay WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS may help you understand why. If you wish to learn from example articles, be sure to use only Wikipedia's best. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:34, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rescuderomonte (talk) 20:32, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I was tasked by my boss with crafting this page on behalf of our firm's pro bono center. I tried to be as nonpromotional as possible. An outright rejection will put me in a tough spot at work. Anything I can do to boost the chances of having at least something published? Many thanks for your time.

Rescuderomonte I regret to say that Wikipedia is completely unconcerned with what your work has tasked you with doing. Related to that, you must read and formally comply with the paid editing policy; a Terms of Use requirement. You should also read conflict of interest. You wrote a blatant advertisement for your firm. Wikipedia is not a place for organizations to tell about themselves. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage state about topics that meet Wikipedia's special definition of notability(in this case, the definition of a notable organization, please review). Wikipedia is not interested in what an organization wants to say about itself, only in what others say about it. Typically, articles are written by independent editors that take note of a subject in reliable sources and choose on their own to write about it. If you just want to tell the world about this pro bono firm, you should use social media or a website owned and operated by your firm. Feel free to show your superiors this message. 331dot (talk) 20:37, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ijazkhusravi (talk) 22:40, 18 May 2020 (UTC) Hello, I created a page for the author Idris Bazorkin but I cannot seem to get it submitted for review. This text still prefaces the page even after I click "publish changes: "This is a draft Articles for creation (AfC) submission. It is not currently pending review. There are no deadlines as long as you are actively improving the submission. Drafts not being improved may be deleted after six months." How can I get this into the queue for review? Thanks![reply]

02:29:28, 19 May 2020 review of submission by Brett Pretty

I created the article in good faith and only used publicly available information from their website, Google, and the news publication it is mentioned. It was not intended to be a promotion or advertising. It is only supposed to describe the company, as it is portrayed in the industry and with what is available in the news and doing an internet search. They're a big player in Australia in terms of financial advice and stock advices, I use them myself and I believe they should be mentioned in case potentital customer would like to know more information about them. I'm happy to help update the content that seemed like an ad to you guys or even participate in making a new one. I just think it would be valuable to anyone out there to know more about them before they buy from them. Brett Pretty (talk) 02:29, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Brett Pretty Wikipedia articles should not merely tell about the subject. That's considered promotional on Wikipedia. They should only summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage say about the subject, showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of notability(in this case, a notable company). Wikipedia has no interest in helping potential customers of your company; this is an effort to write an encyclopedia of human knowledge for the benefit of humanity, not to just tell the world about companies. If you just want to tell the world about this company, you should use social media or its own website. If you work for this company, you must read and comply with the paid editing policy, a Terms of Use requirement. 331dot (talk) 09:19, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I feel like this new article was unfairly rejected, but I have modified it in any case to include even more neutral sources and more factual information which show the notability of the company. I did not feel that it was ever written from the viewpoint of the company, not least because I have nothing to do with them. I hope that this revised draft now meets the criteria. Thank you for your consideration. Bluegene18 (talk) 09:00, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bluegene18 Your draft was rejected, after being declined twice, meaning it will not be considered further. It does not appear that this company meets the Wikipedia definition of a notable company, as shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources. The sources you offered appear to be press releases or routine business announcements, which do not establish notability. Please read Your First Article for more information. 331dot (talk) 09:24, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to request a re-review for Sedgwick Richardson submission, the information submitted are factual and non-promotional.

Larisselava (talk) 14:30, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Larisselava Your draft was rejected, not just declined, meaning it will not be considered further as there is little to no chance it can be improved sufficiently to meet standards. On Wikipedia, "promotional" does not just mean actively soliciting customers or selling something. It means merely telling about something. Wikipedia articles must do more than merely tell about something, they must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage(not brief mentions, routine announcements, or press releases) say about the subject, showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of notability(in this case, the definition of a notable company).
If you work for this company, you must review and comply with WP:COI and WP:PAID. 331dot (talk) 14:33, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

15:46:33, 19 May 2020 review of submission by Mostfan2020

Dear WikiTeam, first of all, thanks for a quick review of my input. Two days ago I created an entry dedicated to the well-known Russian journalist Sergey Mostovshchikov. However it has appeared trickier than I thought to get it published. I agree in a way that the first version was opinionated. That is why I did my best to make it as neutral as possible. However as I resubmitted the second version, it was declined again. I can not really see why. There are no peacock terms there anymore. As for the links I have provided those available. Most of them are in Russian, because the person I am writing about comes from this country and the job he does is not related to foreign affairs. Maybe that is the problem. Is my understanding correct that Wikipedia can have multilingual entires on people who are not necessarily covered by the English-speaking media? I would be most grateful for your reply. Also, if there are any ideas how to improve the text, please let me know. Best regards Alex Mostfan2020 (talk) 15:46, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey guys,

I submitted my article for review 2 weeks ago after (hopefully) adjusting and fixing all my errors you so helpfully pointed out. Due to some miscommunication the wrong draft got reviewed though, within half an hour of submitting it, which I quickly tried to fix and then resumbit. I think something might have gone wrong though and I'm not sure if my CBR article is now under review correctly...

Also, if there is anything else which I should change in the article, please let me know and I'll fix it asap. Thanks a bunch for the help!

Your last reply makes ZERO sense. A category, is a category. It does not have any significance as to one being more important than another. if that where the case, why have nominations or awards. A nomination or award is recognition. I dispute your claim that just because it isn't a national personality award, that it doesn't matter. Your response and reasoning is discriminator, and biased.

I am asking for a higher review, from someone running Wikipedia, that is paid, and that isn't a volunteer.

Smokethatskinwagon (talk) 17:47, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We are all volunteers here, we all run Wikipedia, none of us are paid? Theroadislong (talk) 18:55, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you are genuinely looking for help, telling fellow reviewers they are discriminatory, biased or telling them to "fuck off" probably isn't a good start. Nor is repeatedly disputing "claims" instead of actually taking the time and care to understand our notability policies. In terms of our notability guidelines, there is a very clear distinction between being nominated for and winning an award. Even if the subject wins the award, that doesn't guarantee notability, as it's a very minor/specific award. It would be enough to warrant a reconsideration if and when they do win the award. Until then, this subject wholly fails our notability guidelines and won't be considered further. Sulfurboy (talk) 20:12, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to know why my article was denied. My great-grandmother founded the neighborhood and I am using her a primary source. Other articles have been published on Wikipedia about other neighborhoods in Columbus, Georgia, For example, Green Island neighborhood (and that page does not have any references) MaryDowningKate (talk) 01:42, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MaryDowningKate, As already stated on my talk page, your sources do not demonstrate notability. Neighborhoods such as this are rarely notable. We would need to see significant coverage of the neighborhood in multiple reliable and secondary sources. Also, please see WP:INN. If you have issues with another article, you can tag it appropriately or nominate it for deletion. Sulfurboy (talk) 03:53, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I need help regarding a cite. I was editing the page Draft:BeastBoyShub adding some proper references. And I realize, nearly all of the content on the page is sourced from several videos from the channel itself. I needed to cite the proper timings on the videos, but I can't submit it since youtu.be is blacklisted. How do I cite them? User:ThisIsACreeper0101 (TC | Fandom) 10:49, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't quite understand everything clearly. I meant, I can't use the site youtu.be in {{Cite web}}, since it's blacklisted. So how do I cite YouTube videos? And ould I get a reply to this text in clear words? Thanks! User:ThisIsACreeper0101 (TC | Fandom) 10:49, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
URL shorteners such as youtu.be are blacklisted, but full length youtube.com URLs are not. The technical difference doesn't really help the draft because YouTube is a generally unreliable source, so should not be cited and does not help establish notability (suitability for inclusion in Wikipedia). Moreover, if the links you want to add are to content created by BeastBoyShub, they are not independent. The bulk of any article should come from independent sources. Wikipedia doesn't much care what BeastBoyShub says about BeastBoyShub. It's looking for what sources like books, academic journals, and newspapers say about BeastBoyShub. If such sources say nothing, then Wikipedia should not have an article about BeastBoyShub. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:50, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

please told me what i do Please tell me what you want specifically from the references .. Anything specifically from the article I must bring a reference for it? thank you ... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alaamri.ae (talkcontribs) 08:41, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alaamri.ae. For starters, the draft contains no references. There is an external links section, and perhaps you intended them to be used as references, but when you put them in a section called "External links" you are basically telling the reader that you didn't use them as references. If they are, in fact, where you got all your information, you could change the section heading to "References", but that wouldn't be enough to make the draft acceptable because they are trivial coverage of Al Aamri, so they don't demonstrate that he is notable (suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia).
If you can find multiple, independent, reliable, secondary sources that contain significant coverage of Al Aamri (not just quote him), then you may be able to justify an article. Then, because he's a living person, you would need to add an inline citation supporting almost every sentence (reviewers are a sceptical bunch, so you can expect almost every statement you make about him to be challenged).
If you are Al Aamri, or are closely connected to him, it's a really bad idea to try to write an encyclopedia article about him. If you are determined to be foolish, then at a minimum you should disclose the nature of your connection on your user page. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:16, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

11:43:23, 20 May 2020 review of draft by Nycinuk

Hi - I am very confused why this keeps on getting rejected.

This is a major major development in central London that I walk past when I go to work every day. It's huge and a massive landmark and should be on Wikipedia. It also includes Denmark Street which is world famous. I don't see how my post reads like an advertisement - there is no hyperbole, no inflated claims nor anything that isn't verifiable from the extensive list of citations I have put together and includes coverage in major mainstream UK media for example The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Times, the London Evening Standard, The Independent, Sky News, CityAM etc all reflecting the fact this is a major development with a footfall of millions and is of public interest.

Could I please ask you to re-review?

Nycinuk (talk) 11:43, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 13:25:34, 20 May 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Chimpwithcans

I am trying to create an article/page for a band in Kenya. The Nairobi Hootenanny. It has been playing since 1967, has had albums made, continues to be the foremost folk group in Kenya and a big part of the Nairobi social and musical scene - but my article was rejected because there is not a lot of coverge of the band out there.

They have an active Facebook page, and they still play pretty regularly.

My question is - should they be classified as something other than a musician? Perhaps something cultural?

They are a large part of Nairobi social life and have contributed millions to charity over the last 50 years.

Any help in classification and publication would be much appreciated.

Chimpwithcans (talk) 13:25, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chimpwithcans. If there is not a lot of coverage of the band (not multiple, independent, reliable, secondary sources containing significant coverage of them) then nothing else you've said about them matters, they should not be the subject of a Wikipedia article. The encyclopedia summarizes what those kinds of sources have said, so if there are no such sources, we may not write anything. Note that the sources need not be in English, and need not be online. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:39, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

00:42:58, 21 May 2020 review of submission by Greg c1988

Hi, An article this week was released on savings.com.au on The Lottery Office and habits during covid-19. I have added a line in also stating the concerns of anti-gambling agencies, rightly-so. Therefore, an extra citation has been added. I have also removed the charity section as they weren't citations to back up facts, but just links to the foundation.

Curb Safe Charmer - is it possible to get an indication on where this article is lacking, I genuinely think it's so much more solid.

Greg c1988 (talk) 00:42, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Greg c1988: The additional reference is clearly attributed to Jaclyn Wood of The Lottery Office. This type of coverage does not help establish notability. See WP:ORGIND and WP:PRSOURCE. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 08:50, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Greg c1988: InterGame is a trade publication. There is a presumption against the use of coverage in such sources to establish notability. Savings.com.au briefly quotes the company, it is not significant coverage of it. Calvinayre.com is a company press release, so not independent. Licensingnt.nt.gov.au and austgamingcouncil.org.au are directory-type listings, not significant coverage. The only two independent, reliable, secondary sources that contain significant coverage of the topic are The Australian and News.com.au, both from March 2019 and about the comapny's practice of "matching" overseas draws. They do not consistute sufficiently significant attention by the world at large and over a period of time to justify a stand alone encyclopedia article about the company.
Rejection of a draft is meant to be final, to convey that the topic is not notable, so volunteers do not intend to review it again. This is the fifth time that you've asked for reconsideration of the rejection:
  1. April 30, 2020
  2. May 1, 2020
  3. May 2, 2020
  4. May 14, 2020
  5. May 21, 2020
Five experienced Wikipedians have told you that you're wasting your time on this topic. Articles for Creation will not publish it. Your time is your business, but stop wasting other people's time. You are dangerously close to being blocked from editing for not listening to consensus and editing tendentiously.
If, as you say, you have no conflict of interest, then Articles for Creation is an optional process for you. If you want to gamble, you are free to write an article at The Lottery Office without submitting it here. But if the reviewers are correct, it would be deleted if you did so, and quite possibly salted to prevent any further pushing of an unwanted subject. You have received good advice about improving Lotteries in Australia instead. Take it, or move on. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:28, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I have cited an article from source afaqs.com to talk about Kaushik's awards won at New York, London, Cannes Lions etc. This is in my last edit. Jongray404 Your draft was declined, meaning it will not be considered further as it has little to no chance of being improved enough to meet Wikipedia standards. Updated article to include more relevant information and sources. Additionally, I have added more third-party source to confirm information in the article. Mrcoleprotocol522 (talk) 19:31, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mrcoleprotocol522, A fellow reviewer rejected the article as they deemed there is no shot of the subject meeting or notability guidelines. The sources added are not compelling. Since the article is rejected, it will not be considered further. Sulfurboy (talk) 22:35, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote a chemistry page about a specific molecule. I was told it was too esoteric or specific or something. Idk how to generalize it or make it more accessible with out teaching an organic chemistry lesson on the page. I looked at pages for other molecules but they were similar. What should I do?Lex9000 (talk) 00:34, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm writing regarding my draft:George_Tourville article. It appears I've been rejected because my subject does not appear in the news enough to be considered notable. However, it only appears that way because the local newspaper only started releasing stories digitally in 2006, so when you do a simple internet search of the guy, nothing too interesting comes up (he did most of his important things from 2002 to 2005). I am a resident of the city of relevance in the article and I, using my local library, searched through archived articles from the two local newspapers. As a consequence, a lot of my sources for the article are basically unreachable for the average Wikipedia user unless they go down to my local library. I understand this is a problem for verification of sources, but is there any way around this? There's really not many interesting articles mentioning him post-2006, so I really don't know what I can do when my local newspaper is my primary source for a lot of information in the article, and for identifying the subject as being a person of importance.

Thanks for your consideration, TaylorRiess (talk) 05:06, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please could you kindly elaborate why does the article seem to have a Conflict of interest with Zee Bangla? I am trying to contribute to Wikipedia based on information collated from local newspaper, interviews about Bengali Television actors or shows and the involved cast.

The earlier draft had few unnecessary adjectives, and redundant information. The details have been cleaned and the information has been written in more factual format that has been used for other Bengali Television actors on Wikipedia - For eg: Jeetu Kamal. Thank you for your consideration.

Any input on why my citations for Experience Travel Group have not been deemed acceptable. All citations mentioned are published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (by Wikipedia's definition!!).

I have provided all the links where I picked the content in references but still I was requested to provide citation. Should these be within the Article?

Rhoknee (talk) 11:52, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rhoknee. Using inline citations is a small technical step in the right direction, but it's nowhere near enough to make the draft acceptable. There is a huge gap between what the cited sources say, and what the draft claims. Taking just the first source as an example:
Source-Text Integrity
Cited Source Draft Permissible

An even bigger problem is that it is unlikely that you will be able to show that an undersecretary and author of one book is notable (suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia). There simply aren't multiple, independent (i.e. not his employer), reliable, secondary sources which contain significant coverage (not passing mentions) of him. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:23, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I need help on expanding this article. Rawsar (talk) 12:16, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rawsar The article should summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage say about the book, showing how it meets the Wikipedia definition of a notable book. The sources you have are not such sources. If there are no independent sources with significant coverage, the book would not merit an article at this time. 331dot (talk) 12:59, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've tried submitting this page a couple times, and we've been declined every single time. My colleague (klest001) and I work for the Association of Independent Mortgage Experts which is a non-profit organization that works to assist independent mortgage brokers communicate their value to consumers. One of the ways we wanted to help educate consumers is to maximize the searchability of the mortgage lenders in the wholesale space that offer the best options to consumers starting with UWM and United Shore as they are the largest in the space at this time and continue to add pages as our time allows.

Our organization is uploading the Wikipedia pages as a consumer education tool but our reference material to write the submissions was pulled from articles and press materials which might have contributed to the promotional language. Do you have any advice for the best method to add pages effectively?

Andrj163 Your draft Draft:United Shore Financial Services has been correctly rejected outright. Wikipedia is not a marketing tool for your organisation. Theroadislong (talk) 14:41, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@As0987: The draft is linked in the line above, there is no need to paste the entire thing here.
The draft has been rejected because the subject is not notable. Rejection is meant to be final, to convey that the topic has no hope of being accepted for publication. Consequently, volunteers do not intend to review it again. You may wish to consider alternative outlets, with different inclusion criteria, for your writing. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:30, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi KcaslerAWS. Wikipedia is forever a work in progress. It contains high quality articles and poor quality articles. The existence of articles that do not meet Wikipedia's policies and guidelines does not mean they are wanted. It may simply mean that no one has gotten around to deleting them yet. They are not a good excuse to create more such articles. The essay WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS may help you understand why. If you wish to learn from example articles, be sure to use only Wikipedia's best. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:02, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am trying to create an English translation of a Russian wikipedia article, because there is not yet an English one.

Interpersonalization (talk) 15:30, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Interpersonalization. Your translation efforts are appreciated, but the draft does not yet show that the organization is notable (suitable for inclusion). Each language version of Wikipedia operates according to its own policies and guidelines, set by the community of editors who contribute there. So an article may satisfy the rules for the Russian Wikipedia, but not the English one, or vice versa. More information about what is needed is on the draft, in the decline message and the reviewer's comment.
Also, if the draft has been translated from the Russian Wikipedia, you must credit the source text (otherwise it's a copyright violation). See Translating from other language Wikimedia projects for more information. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:46, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Priyankasharmaas Unfortunately, your draft was rejected, meaning it will not be considered further as it has little to no chance of being able to be improved sufficiently to meet Wikipedia standards. You seem to misunderstand the purpose of Wikipedia in that it is not a place to merely tell about someone; it is a place to summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage say about a subject, showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of notability(in this case, the definition of a notable person). Please read Your First Article for more information. 331dot (talk) 19:33, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

1-I couldn't give the article a page title for the person, Okhee Lee,in place of my title as the user. How can that be done? 2-I couldn't design the info box to my liking and ended up with four drafts, none of which will do. The person who is the topic of the article is an academic, and the info box needs to reflect that, similar to the info boxes in articles for Angela Duckworth or Helen Quinn.
