Hello, Jelly Bean MD, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. noq (talk) 08:19, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

HMB436H course registration

Please send me an email (james.scott@utoronto.ca) to confirm your name, student number and wiki handle so that I can connect your wiki contributions to your course grade. Thanks! Medmyco (talk) 18:25, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I actually attend McGill University's Faculty of Medicine. I registered because I was interested in the course content and found that using Wikipedia as a course platform was a great idea! Cheers, --Jelly Bean MD (talk) 02:16, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Jelly Bean, Can I de-register you from the course and solicit your interest in signing up as a reviewer for a couple of the articles? I ask because I use the "contributions" feature which allows me to see what the students have been up to, and it is dominated by your edits since you're currently a student! Medmyco (talk) 21:03, 30 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds like a great idea! --Jelly Bean MD (talk) 23:46, 30 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do you attend UOIT?

Greetings, I noticed that you've enrolled in my Intro to Communications course at UOIT. Are you a UOIT student? Your talk page says that you attend McGill. If you'd like to participate as an online supporter of the class, please let me know and we will add your name to the appropriate section of the course page. Best, --Jaobar (talk) 12:54, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am a McGill student; however, I would sure like "to participate as an online supporter of the class." Thank you, --Jelly Bean MD (talk) 03:37, 21 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've just removed you from the Intro to Comm Course list. Your help would be greatly appreciated; however, the appropriate place for your name to be listed is under the 'online volunteers', not in the student list. I'm going to add your name there. If you'd like this changed, please let me know. Best, --Jaobar (talk) 00:53, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jelly Bean

I just wanted to greet you and thank you for being explicit in guiding us how to leave a message on wiki. It really helped me! Cheers! ––Lolalore (talk) 05:02, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome! --Jelly Bean MD (talk) 14:51, 2 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest this be merged to Danwar language. A quick search online found plenty of primary and secondary sources that verify this ethnolinguistic group not only exists, but consists of 50,00 people. Bearian (talk) 19:39, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree to merge the two articles as we would save contributions. However, with regard to the "quick search online," I must say that those I conducted did not yield any significant results; that is, nothing more than Facebook groups, a few articles from unreliable Web sites, and the Wikipedia article itself. In order to have its own article on this encyclopedia, the subject should have considerable (reliable) media coverage or attention from professional groups, which currently does not appear to be the case. Even the two references in Danwar language are highly questionable... I must thank you for pointing out that article! I will soon conduct research on Wikipedia to determine whether other ethnolinguistic groups have their own articles. Sometimes clean-ups are necessary. --Jelly Bean MD (talk) 03:06, 2 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 20

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of massacres in Canada, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wounded. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Wikipedia from the Medicine Wikiproject!

Welcome to Wikipedia and Wikiproject Medicine

Welcome to Wikipedia from Wikiproject Medicine (also known as WPMED).

We're a group of editors who strive to improve the quality of medical articles here on Wikipedia. One of our members has noticed that you are interested in editing medical articles; it's great to have a new interested editor on board. In your wiki-voyages, a few things that may be relevant to editing Wikipedia articles are:

  • Thanks for coming aboard! We always appreciate a new editor. Feel free to leave us a message at any time on our talk page. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the WPMED talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some collaboration when editing!
  • Sourcing of medical and health-related content on Wikipedia is guided by our medical sourcing guidelines, commonly referred to as MEDRS. These guidelines typically requires recent secondary sources to support information; its application is further explained here. Primary sources (case studies, case reports, research studies) are rarely used, especially if the primary sources are produced by the organisation or individual who is promoting a claim.
  • Wikipedia is a kingdom full of a wide variety of editors with different interests, skills, and knowledge. We all manage to get along through a lot of discussion that happens under the scenes and through the bold, edit, discuss editing cycle. If you encounter any problems, you can discuss it on an article's talk page or post a message on the WPMED talk page.

Feel free to drop a note on my talk page if you have any problems. I wish you all the best on your wiki voyages! Sydney Poore/FloNight♥♥♥♥ 23:57, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Help request

Are there regulations to follow if one wants to create a university club based on WP editing? Obviously, the club would not be for-profit. Thank you.

None from Wikipedia. Be sure to follow the WMF's Trademark policy. Cheers, --L235 (t / c / ping in reply) 02:35, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Moving pages

Hi, I saw your move of College of Family Physicians of Canada. Please do not move articles in this way, as it is in violation of WPs copyright attribution. In cases like this, you should use the "move" function (one of the tabs at the top of an article - exact location depends on the skin you are using). If you had done nothing else, I could have just undone it and then move correctly. However, you performed a bunch of edits. This means that I now will have to perform a history merge. Please refrain from editing the article until I have finished that process. Thanks. --Randykitty (talk) 18:19, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know of such a function. The last time I performed a move was 6 or 7 years ago, and our editing tools were quite limited. Please let me know when you are done merging. --J.B.M.D. 22:20, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's done. Don't worry too much about it, no harm done. --Randykitty (talk) 23:38, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fish and chips stuff

Hi. I was simply trying to get rid of a bunch of the stuff like records in that section of the article. It was rambling and it seemed like that section was turning in to sort of a trivia section. 143.44.133.50 (talk) 16:04, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's fine to edit, but do not blank or remove substantial amounts of content from a bunch of sections all at once. I reviewed your edits and several deletions were worth reverting. --J.B.M.D. 16:07, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Block Query

@DoRD: May I politely ask why I was blocked? --J.B.M.D. 16:29, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You were blocked for abusing multiple accounts, namely this account, Mug&Coffee (talk · contribs), and BScMScMD (talk · contribs) to edit Maxime Masson and Maxime Masson (medical student). In addition, this account was being used while BScMScMD is blocked. —DoRD (talk) 16:36, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That is partly correct - Mug&Coffee (talk · contribs) is an account I created in an effort to secure this account at my arrival in the residence as other students are trashing Wikipedia. As for the other account, BScMScMD (talk · contribs), I gave this one to a friend - who seemingly availed himself of the tools he had? I am actually not surprised as I noticed our IP was blocked as well. May I appeal the block? --J.B.M.D. 16:48, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
To appeal, you may place {{unblock|Your reason here}} on the page, but first you should read this guide. —DoRD (talk) 16:56, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the link! --J.B.M.D. 17:17, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

There is a particular situation occurring within this residence. Since my return I noticed that many students are making disruptive edits to Wikipedia - and I have recently decided to create a new account, Mug&Coffee (talk · contribs), in order to prevent linking of my current account to any form of un-constructive edit. I used the former account just a few times within a few days and then ceased use because I was more comfortable with my current account. About 3 or 4 months ago (perhaps more; vague souvenir), I gave the account BScMScMD (talk · contribs) to a residence friend; however, it seems he has been blocked. I understand how all these accounts link together because they were accounts I created, either in the past or recently - but I was not using them to evade a block. To my understanding, I will not create any other accounts on Wikipedia - unless there is a safe way to create one without looking suspicious, and I will research this soon. On the positive side, I believe a quick check to my contributions will show that I am not here to cause damage - I am involved in the counter-vandalism unit and began making use of HotCat and Twinkle to help with reviewing and editing. I also plan on working on several articles linked to user page to include them in the encyclopedia in the future. Anyways, I don't want to make this thing too long - so I'll halt here. Thanks for reviewing. --J.B.M.D. 17:17, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your explanation seems to be nothing more than an elaborate version of WP:BROTHER. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:08, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

While users are mostly free to delete content from their talk page, that is not the case during an active block. If you blank this page again your talk page access will be removed. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:15, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
