==Some improvement==
Well at least the damn bot is INFORMING people now, which is an improvement. But I still don't think it should be removing ANYTHING. It clearly has no concept of CONTEXT or PERMISSION, but in all fairness (another alien concept for it I know), its creator doesnt seem much more enlightened on these either. But keep working on it.--[[User:R.D.H. (Ghost In The Machine)|R.D.H. (Ghost In The Machine)]] 05:54, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

If the bot is malfunctioning, posting on this talk page will cause it to stop editing immediately.

OrphanBot is a bot, a computer program designed to perform simple, repetitive tasks. Any comments should be directed to Carnildo, the owner of this bot.

If you need to stop the bot, simply edit this page. The bot will notice it the next time it loads an image description page, and will stop running.

Orphanbot, I think I fixed the copyright issue. Could you plese look and see. I am a little unsure of th e process for putting the appropriate copyright info on images. I thought the dropdown menu took care of those issues when you chose the "Source" IE. TV screen shot etc. For this particular issue I think "Fair Use" is appropriate. Hi - Just seen your message. I seem to have accidentally uploaded a photo I saved off a website instead of one of my own. I have tried to remove the image, but I can't work out how. I'm fairly new to Wikipedia - if you could leave me a message regarding how to do this, I would be most grateful.

Log of unusual findings

I took it off my friends Phone,that image. I dont know the license but dont delete it.

Bot

I think that it's incredibly rude, to insist people provide sources. Just my opinion.--TheDoctor10 (talk|email) 08:47, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And I think it's incredbly rude to interrupt my bot because you don't like Wikipedia policy. --Carnildo 22:47, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think its incredibly rude to selectively ignore wikipedia policy (no bots) and make large automated changes to articles.--Pypex 23:32, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OrphanBot took away an image I posted on G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. I've already changed the copyright info but I (surprise, surprise) don't feel too particularly concerned about putting the image back up so soon thou. I guess I'll leave it to somebody else to post it back. --Destron Commander 04:20, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Out, damn bot!

Your bot just singled out a SOUND FILE of an interview on TLC. I would highly suggest rewriting that bot code. In the meantime, I'm reverting the damage it left. Cjmarsicano 16:49, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OrphanBot! Hi, I've uploaded the image you pinpoint along with three others, yesterday (and did not claim that I produced these images). I have also provide the URL where the images are given, So that an experience editor confirm that these images are either PD or their fari use is permissible.

It should be noted that it is explicitly written on CreativeCommon webpage as well as source page http://www.world66.com/about/copyright_policy that

You are free:

   * to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work
   * to make derivative works
   * to make commercial use of the work

Please tell what should more I do.

Check the talk page for the image. I uploaded there the 1 I think should be the status of the copyright. Kingjeff 04:01, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've looked at the talk page for the creator of this bot, and I think I've seen a few problems, so I've decided to post a message on this page. Specifically for the image I uploaded, can you please tell me the problem with it? I'm not too sure how fair use works, but I linked to the Wake Forest Sports page not only from the image page, but also from the Demon Deacon page. I added the image to help promote knowledge of Wake Forest and the sports tradition in an unbiased way, so I don't think there should be any misconceptions about whether it's done for anyone other than the school's benefit.
