Paskhan (Persian: پاسخن, also Romanized as Pāskhan, Pāsekhān, Pāskhān, and Pāsokhan; also known as Pāshkhān)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Fasarud District of Darab County, Fars province, Iran,[4] and also serves as the administrative center for Paskhan Rural District.
At the 2006 census, its population was 1,657 in 374 households, when it was in Paskhan Rural District of the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,497 people in 393 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,545 people in 476 households.[2]
After the census, Fasarud Rural District and Paskhan Rural District were separated from the Central District in the establishment of Fasarud District.[4] In addition, the villages of Paskhan and Rostaq were elevated to the status of cities.
