The 47th International Emmy Awards took place on November 25, 2019 at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City and celebrate excellence in International television.[1][2]

This year’s nominations in 11 categories came from 21 countries. The 11 winning International Emmy programmes and performances spanned eight countries: Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Turkey, the UK and US. Honorary awards were presented to Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss[3] and CNN journalist Christiane Amanpour.[4]
