The Departure Tour was a concert tour by the American rock band Journey . The tour was in support of their 1980 album Departure which was their first Top 10 album on the Billboard 200 that peaked at #8 and like their previous two albums, Infinity and Evolution . This was also the last Journey tour to feature founding member of the band Gregg Rolie who left the band to start a family.
The Montreal, Detroit and Tokyo shows were recorded for the band's first live album, Captured .
