Partapur is a municipality in Banswara district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Geography

Partapur is located at 23°36′N 74°10′E / 23.6°N 74.17°E / 23.6; 74.17.[1] It has an average elevation of 164 metres (538 feet).

About

Partapur is Third largest town after Banswara and [[kushalgarh]} in Banswara district which is a part of wagad area in Rajasthan. It is also fastest growing town in the southern Rajasthan after Sagwara in Dungarpur. Wagari is the local dialect of people staying in Partapur and surrounding areas. The Partapur has now turned into a municipality after merger of nearby villages like Garhi, Nawagoun, Dhani, Bedwa, Navapadar, Kheran ka Parda, Dadooka, Semaliya, etc. There are many Hindu Temple in which the main temple of Partapur is Siddhi Vinayak Ganesh temple on Bus stand (Purneshwar, Bhagoreshwar महाकाल, Lakshminarayan), Jwala Devi Mandir (Nai Samaj), four Jain Temples and four Mosques. And also, Galiakot and Banswara are the two nearby religious places for the Bohras. and another two river sangam of Mahi and Chap rivers in nearest village Chaupasag.
