Luquan (Chinese: 鹿泉; pinyin: Lùquán; lit. 'Deer Spring'), formerly Huolu County (simplified Chinese: 获鹿县; traditional Chinese: 獲鹿縣; pinyin: Huòlù Xiàn) until 1994,[1] is one of eight districts of the prefecture-level city of Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, North China. Luquan lies in the foothills of the Taihang Mountains and is around 17 kilometres (11 mi) west of the provincial capital, Shijiazhuang, which administers Luquan. The town of Huolu, locally pronounced “Huailu”,[2] is the urban center of the city.
