Caetité is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Bahia, which possesses an estimated 51,081 inhabitants as of 2020[1] and is situated 757 kilometers away from Salvador. Its 2306,38 km². Its economy is based mostly on amethyst mining, uranium, iron and manganese. Important cultural center of the State, there they were born illustrious people of the education and politics of the country, like Anísio Teixeira, Paulo Souto, Waldick Soriano (the "brazilian Frank Sinatra") and others.
