  • curprev 15:2315:23, 10 February 2023 47.187.131.137 talk 3,745 bytes +11 There is no such thing as an Destroyer Escort . The proper Escort Destroyer. The first letter of US Navy Acronymn is the general class D for destroyer. The second is sub type, in this case an escort. If you look at all the different types of US Navy Ships you will see examples. For instance, CV, the first "C" is carrier, the second "V" is french for "voler." In WWII they did not use A because CA was heavy cruiser. So it is Aircraft Carrier NOT Carrier Aircraft undo Tags: Reverted extraneous markup
