Ambedkar Nagar Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Uttar Pradesh state in northern India. This constituency came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002. There were great personalities from this district. Dr Ram Manohar Lohia was also from this place. Some other prominent personalities are Shri Surendra Nath Tiriapthi, IAS in Orissa cadre and Mr Mahendra Nath Tiwari, IPS in Delhi cadre are officers from the same family of Bhiswa chittauna, Malipur.

Assembly segments

Presently, Ambedkar Nagar Lok Sabha constituency comprises five Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments. These are:[1]

  3. Tanda
  4. Jalalpur
  5. Akbarpur

Katehari, Tanda, Jalalpur and Akbarpur assembly segments were earlier in erstwhile Akbarpur Lok Sabha constituency.
