The men's 1500 metres at the 2024 Summer Olympics is scheduled to be held in four rounds at the Stade de France in Paris, France, between 2 and 6 August 2024. This will be the 30th time that the men's 1500 metres is contested at the Summer Olympics. A total of 45 athletes will be able to qualify for the event by entry standard or ranking.
Background
[edit]The men's 1500 metres has been present on the Olympic athletics programme since the inaugural edition in 1896.

Qualification
[edit]For the men's 1500 metres event, the qualification period is between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024.[5] 45 athletes are able to qualify for the event, with a maximum of three athletes per nation, by running the entry standard of 3:33.50 seconds or faster or by their World Athletics Ranking for this event.[5]

Repechage round
[edit]The repechage round is scheduled to be held on 3 August, starting at 19:05 (UTC+2) in the evening.[1]
