Beer in Iceland
Appearance
Although beer was banned in Iceland from 1915 to March 1, 1989,[1] the country has several natively brewed beer brands. The major breweries are Ölgerðin Egill Skallagrímsson and Vífilfell. The word Brugghús is Icelandic for brewpub.
Beer Day is celebrated in Iceland on March 1.
