Chandan Sen (Bengali: চন্দন সেন; born 26 February 1963) is a Bengali film, television and stage actor.[1][2] He is considered as one of the finest stage actors of Bengali Theater. As of 2010 he was suffering from bone cancer.[3]

Career

Sen was a student of Utpal Dutt and Ramaprasad Banik. He started acting in Bengali theatre in 1977. He joined Natya Anan theatre group as a creative director and an actor in 1997. Since then he has acted in numbers of Bengali films. His performance of the street goon Babu Ram in Anjan Dutta's Madly Bangalee is highly praised and acknowledged. Currently he is a regular face in Star Jalsha's daily soap Ichchenodi. He is also communist party of India(Marxist) supporter.
