The Cinema of Kuwait includes a wide range of films. . Kuwaiti movie theatres includes many movies from around the world, typically released a few weeks after their initial release in the US. The first Kuwaiti feature-film, Bas ya Bahar, was released in 1972.[3] Bas Ya Bahar is the first feature film ever to be made in one of the GCC countries.

Cinema Operators

The company known as Cinescape,[8] started in 1956,used to have exclusive rights to operate cinemas in Kuwait for 50 years which ends in 2006. Grand Cinemas [9] and SKY Cinemas [10] are the new cinema operators. there is rumors about more cinema operators will join Kuwait market which is VOX Cinemas [11] from UAE and OZON Cinemas [12] from Egypt.
