Template:Geobox Protected Area Demarest Lloyd State Park is a Massachusetts state park located in the town of Dartmouth, managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. The park faces Buzzards Bay with a 600-yard (550 m) sandy beach to the south while to the east marshy ground separates the park from the Slocums River.[1]

Activities and amenities

  • Swimming: A calm surf and shallow waters create conditions for warm waters in the summer months. Showers and restrooms are available.
  • Birdwatching: The marshlands are home to egrets, herons, ospreys, terns and hawks.
  • Picnicking: Picnic sites occupy the shaded, grassy region behind the beachfront.
  • The park also offers fishing, non-motorized boating, and walking trails.
  • Restrictions: Pets, landing powerboats and jet skis, kite surfing, skim boards, boogey boards, flotation devices, and shellfishing without a license are forbidden.[1]
