The Sint Maarten women's national football represents the Dutch half of the Caribbean island of Saint Martin, and is controlled by the Sint Maarten Soccer Association. Sint Maarten is not a member of FIFA, and therefore not eligible to enter the FIFA Women's World Cup or any competition organized first-hand by the organization.[2]

road to women's international football[edit]

In response to the growth and development of women's football in North America and the Caribbean, Sint Maarten embarked on a journey toward international success. Guided by this vision, the Sint Maarten Soccer Association initiated a women's development program in 2022. this ambition aimed to foster the talent and potential of women footballers within the country.

As part of their proactive approach, the association arranged two friendly matches against the Anguilla, with the objective of providing a competitive match experience and testing the progress of their players. Despite their efforts, Sint Maarten's team experienced defeat in both meetings against the Anguillan side.[3][4]

in April 2023, Sint Maarten women's national Under-20 football team was the first women's side from Sint Maarten to participate in CONCACAF's tournament; by participating in the 2023 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship qualification.

Sint Maarten who had initially entered the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup qualification and were placed in League C Group B alongside Saint Lucia, Cuba and Guadeloupe. withdrew from the qualifying tournament.[5][6]
