ESPN Asia is an Asian cable sports network owned by STAR TV and Fox International Channels in partnership with ESPN International. It is the official Asian station of the Premier League. It is available in Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand and other Asian territories.
On 28 January 2013 ESPN Asia was renamed as Fox Sports Asia.[1] However, the ESPN brand is remained in China, India and South Asia.
ESPN has since refocused on its digital business building out online properties for football (ESPNFC), cricket (CricInfo), Formula 1 (ESPNF1), and Australian rugby union (ESPNscrum).[2]
On 12 October 2017, 5 years after ESPN brand in Philippine territory was on hiatus after it was replaced with Fox Sports Asia, Philippine TV network TV5 announced that it had reached a partnership with ESPN International to re-brand Sports 5 as ESPN 5; the re-branding took effect the next day. The partnership marked the return of the ESPN brand to the country since the replacement of ESPN Philippines with Fox Sports Asia.
