House of Elders (Somaliland)

The Parliament of Somaliland (Baarlamaanka) has two chambers. The upper house is the House of Elders (Golaha Guurtida). It has 82 members, representing traditional leaders. The House of Elders is mandated with considering bills proposed by the lower chamber, the Somaliland House of Representatives.
