She is a member of the South Korean girl group Wonder Girls.

Biography

Lim was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1992 but lived in Hong Kong for 14 years. She can speak Korean, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Career

Predebut

Originally, Lim was a part of 5-member group in training in 2009. While still in training, the group flew to China where they appeared in numerous variety shows performing dance routines and songs to showcase their talent to the Chinese audience. As the group had no official name they were widely known to the Chinese audiences as "JYP Sisters" or simply as "Sisters (시스터즈)". They were also dubbed by JYPE as the "Chinese Wonder Girls". However, before the group could officially debut, two of their members withdrew leaving only three of members which included Lim herself as well as Jia and Fei.[2][3]

Then on January 22, 2010, she was announced to join the Wonder Girls, after member Sunmi put her musical career on hiatus. [4][5] Her official debut was on February 5, 2010 in a performance in Shanghai.

She still keeps in contact with her former JYP Sisters, Jia and Fei who have now officially debuted in a four-member group under the name of miss A.[6]

Wonder Girls

In 2010, Lim made her debut as new member of the Wonder Girls with their comeback single 2 Different Tears. She had position as vocalist and sub-rapper of the group, after the member Sunmi temporarily halted her musical career with the Wonder Girls.[7] On 2013, the group went on hiatus and returned as a four-member group on July 2015.

Solo Activities

Music

Hyerim released collaboration single with Bernard Park titled "With You" on April 3, 2016 as part of JYP Entertainment's JYP Duet Match project.

Television hosting

On August 26, 2013, Lim became the host of Arirang TV's Pops in Seoul.[8][9] She stepped down from her role on March 10, 2014.
