Season chronology | |
The second season of the Philippine television mystery music game show I Can See Your Voice premiered on ABS-CBN on August 10, 2019.[1]
This season also aired the first episodes featuring an entire lineup of elderly (with Doris Bigornia)[2][3] and foreigners (with Ethel Booba)[4] as mystery singers.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that halted its production in March 2020,[5][6] as well as the second broadcast shutdown taking place,[7][8] this prematurely ended season was the last to air on the said original network.
Gameplay
[edit]Format
[edit]According to original South Korean rules, the guest artist(s) eliminate mystery singers at the end of each round, with the last remaining mystery singer ended up in a duet performance by one of the guest artists.[9]
At the end of each round, the eliminated mystery singer gets a consolation prize starting with ₱5,000 for the first round, ₱10,000 for the second round, and ₱15,000 for the third round. If a singer is good, the guest artist(s) win an award (as Eyeward).[10] The winning singer, regardless of being good (SEE-nger) or bad (SEE-ntunado), wins ₱25,000.
Rounds
[edit]- Two or False
Each mystery singer is given two different identities as a good and bad singer, with one of them is a real identity. - The Voice is Syncing
Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song; good singers mime to a recording of their own, while bad singers mime to a recording by someone else. - Play it by Hear
Three random panelists are wearing headphones to listen to a recording of assigned mystery singer that lasts for 15 seconds. Afterward, the panelist defends the mystery singer and convince the guest artist to choose them as the winner.
