Jayne Connery (born 23 May 1967) is an English philanthropist and media personality. She is known for appearing in Big Brother 17, as well as founding and directing the Care Campaign for the Vulnerable, an organisation that campaigns for the safeguarding of elderly people in all care homes.

Connery founded Care Campaign for the Vulnerable, an organisation that campaigns for the safeguarding of the elderly, in 2015.[1] For this, she left secured employment.[2] Since then, she has written columns for the Daily Express.[3]

Connery also raises funds with challenges including a Wing Walk, a parachute jump at 14,000 ft and an abseil down Northampton's The National Lift Tower and a free fall Abseil down the Arcelormittal in London, raising money for dementia charities.[4] Connery is also credited with having started the most successful initiative to get CCTV installed in care homes.[5]

Big Brother[edit]

In 2016, Connery appeared in the seventeenth series of Channel 5 reality series Big Brother. She entered the second House on Day 1.[6] On Day 21, she received 10 nominations from her fellow housemates, and was nominated for the third eviction.[7] She survived this eviction on Day 25.[8] On Day 42, Connery was nominated again by her fellow housemates, however, on Day 43 she was saved from eviction and was replaced with Andy.[9] She left the series in sixth place, having reached the final and spent two months in the house.
