The Virtual Console is a service from Nintendo that allows players to download video games originally released on older gaming consoles for play on the company's current systems. In June 2011, Virtual Console was launched on the Nintendo 3DS handheld system. Along with Virtual Console, the Nintendo 3DS also supports a separate set of games, dubbed "3D Classics", which are reprogrammed ports of other older games, enhanced with 3D effects visible on the system's 3D top screen.

This is a list of current and upcoming Virtual Console games and 3D Classics that are available on the Nintendo 3DS in North America.
