List of current British princes and princesses
Appearance
This is a list of living British royal family members who, through royal descent or marriage, currently hold the rank of British prince or British princess. There are 18 living princes and princesses by birthright, and a further 6 individuals who are princesses by marriage.
By descent
By marriage
The wife of a British prince becomes a British princess, but she cannot use the title before her own given name. She can use the princess title with her husband's given name (e.g. Princess Michael of Kent), while the wife of the Prince of Wales is styled as the Princess of Wales (e.g. Catherine, Princess of Wales). Men cannot become princes by marriage.[2][3][4]
