They have scored a number of successful soundtracks. Before working independently as music director duo, they were assisting Pritam in set up musical arrangements.

Early life

Sachin and Jigar are Gujaratis.[1] Sachin was born on 14 June 1980 and Jigar was born on 12 April 1985. They were interested in music from childhood. Music was one of their passions but just like other children, studies and academic career overpowered it but with time they realized their love for music and followed the field judiciously.

Career

Sachin–Jigar have created music at various platforms from theatre to television soaps to jingles. They must have done not less the 500 plays and not less than 5000 television episodes for various genres and channels. Jigar Saraiya was assisting Music Director Rajesh Roshan where he met Amit Trivedi. Then Amit introduced Sachin Sanghvi to Jigar. Later year they joined their hands and started assisting Pritam in set up musical arrangements.

They then programmed and arranged for almost all music directors in Bollywood from the legend A.R. Rahman, Anu Malik, Nadeem-Shravan, Sandesh Shandilya, Pritam, Vishal-Shekhar etc., before they stepped in to be independent composers. [citation needed]

In 2009, they composed one song for the movie Life Partner. Then in 2011, their first assignment as an independent music director duo was for the film F.A.L.T.U which included the hit song "Le Ja Tu Mujhe" & "Char Baj Gaye (Party Abhi Baaki Hai)". In 2011, they scored for the movie Hum Tum Shabana & Shor in the City. In this movie, Saibo sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Tochi Raina, was specially appreciated by critics as well as masses and Karma Is A Bitch become huge hit.

After that, they composed music for Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012), Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum (2012), OMG: Oh My God! (2012), Ajab Gazabb Love (2012), ABCD: Any Body Can Dance (2013), Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story (2013), Himmatwala (2013), I, Me Aur Main (2013), Go Goa Gone (2013), Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013).

They composed music for the movie Issaq and collaborated with Yash Raj films via the interesting movie Shuddh Desi Romance directed by Maneesh Sharma.

In 2014, they composed for albums Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions directed by Shashank Khaitan which had hit songs such as 'Saturday Saturday' & 'Samjhavan'. It was the first time for the duo working for Dharma Productions. The second, Akshay Kumar movie Its Entertainment directed by the famous writer duo Sajid-Farhad, other one was Happy Ending Directed by Raj & DK.[2]

In 2015, their first movie was Badlapur whose first single "Jee Karda" was released on 9 December 2014 and was an instant hit. Another single "Jeena Jeena" was released on 15 January 2015 which was a blockbuster song. The album for ABCD 2 became a hit as well. The song "Sun Sathiya" is one of the favourites from this movie.

The duo has this keen pattern of music creation that they always keep surprise elements in their music for the next work which they would be presenting. This gives them an edge in the current Bollywood music industry.

Sachin & Jigar have also mesmerized the crowd with their musical contribution in Coke Studio (India), Season 4, Episode 2 (12 April 2015). They were the key performers in Audacity 2018, the largest cultural festival of Rajasthan organized by IIM Udaipur.

Personal life

Sachin Sanghvi started his singing career at a very early age. Coming from the suburb of Ghatkopar in Mumbai dominated by Gujarati-speaking population, Sachin was a sensation during the days of Navratri as his soothing voice became a well known phenomenon during garba. The duo have seen difficult times, trying to establish themselves in Bollywood. Just when they started doing well in theatre, they got opportunity in Hindi television and while they were flourishing there, they got into arranging for Bollywood films.

They joined Pritam Chakraborty who eventually gave them a go-ahead to arrange for other music composers, and started working with A. R. Rahman and Anu Malik. When they were the highest paid music arrangers, Pritam encouraged them to the next level, i.e. into composing music. For us it was, "Oh god, it is like going back to zero again." But it was always a calculated risk. Whenever we went to the next level, we ensured that we could sustain for six months financially.

But it wasn't easy. When we decided to compose, we were discouraged by two very big directors about five years back. They heard our songs and said that it won't work and that we should either go back to arrangement, or better still go back to father's business. But Pritam sir instilled hope in us saying, "Times are changing, sounds are changing and so will the music". He had realised that we would make tunes and had the knack of composing.

They both are married. Jigar Saraiya is married to Singer and Lyricist Priya Panchal.

Sachin has a beautiful and talented daughter, Taniskha Sanghvi, who is currently a sensation with the song 'Laadki' describing the love and affection of a daughter.

The duo added another feather in their illustrious career when two complete episodes of popular reality show Jhalak Dikhla ja featured dance performances on the songs of the young music directors. The duo are crowned the Remix Specialists of this generation.

Apart from providing numerous techno hits in films the duo is credited with some soulful and soothing romantic songs in the recent times.
