The Samsaptakas where a group of warriors in the Kurukshetra War formed to kill Arjuna, the foremost warrior among the Pandavas. This army consisted of thousands of chariots and elephants, and tens of thousands of horses and infantry warriors. All of them were very brave, difficult to be vanquished and followed the motto "Kill Arjuna or to be killed by Arjuna". They promised themselves to fight until death and to strive together to fulfil their objective of killing Arjuna thus bringing victory to Duryodhana.
