Syed Mehdi Shah is the first so called Chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.The post was created under Presidential Order For Govrnance 2009 for gilgit Baltistan and First so called Leglastive assembly came into being and Mehdi Shah was elected as chief minister of so called province Gilgit Baltistan (Balawaristan). He also was the President of Gilgit-Baltistan chapter of the Pakistan Peoples Party.[1][2]
