Discrepancy

"On 2 June 1846, Judson married for the third time, to writer Emily Chubbuck who he had commissioned to write memoirs for Sarah Hall Boardman. They had a daughter born in 1847.

Judson lived for fifteen more years of work in and for Burma."

Luther Rice sailed a little after Judson on February 6, 1812 on the ship named "The Harmony." He sailed together with Hall. They arrived August 8th in Calcutta and were reunited with Judson at that point. The English of this article has some atrocious grammar and syntax. Additionally, the article seems to be filled with POV ("his work was perfect") and questionable facts ("he translated the Bible from Hebrew" [the Christian Bible's original is written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, so unless he translated 90% of the "Old Testament", and that's all, this statement is incomplete at best]). Cleaned up (IMHO). Reworded the most arguably outrageous statements and checked the facts against web and books. He is reported to have translated the whole Bible into Burmese - the comment on the source language has already been deleted. Welsh 20:22, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Probably the original author's point was that Judson had translated from the original languages into Burmese and not from English into Burmese. Angr (talk • contribs) 10:15, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Significant Source

Well, he converted aboard ship while en route to his mission. This conversion meant a loss of financial support from the Congregationalist organization that had sponsored him. The resultant need for funds led to the first Baptist association in the U.S.. It is more accurate to say that there are U.S. Baptist associations because of Judson than that he belonged to any of them! His strongest Bpatist influences would probably be William Carey and Brown University, which was a Baptist institution by the name of Rhode Island College when he attended it. Neutral Point of View Policy

It would seem that wikipedia will have a difficult time having anything that is not just secular humanistic point of view. When wanting to have history on any type of Christian Missionary or Churches Wiki wants to be neutral and leave the thread open for modification. but for Jewish or Islamic religions the forums have been locked to additions without special permission and review.

Should not the policy of Neutral Point of View Policy apply to all religions equally?

for the moment this policy seems only applicable to Christian and in some cases new age point of view but not to Judaism and Islam.

Not so neutral after all, more like PC and playing to special groups differently than with others. That is biased and prejudice.
