The result of the move request was: Moved to Arthur Craig. Consensus developed on moving back to the original title, Arthur Craig. (closed by non-admin page mover) – robertsky (talk) 05:20, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
AD (Bud) Craig → Arthur Dewitt Craig – birth name used in all academic papers 86.187.239.67 (talk) 13:30, 31 December 2022 (UTC))
- Comment Article was at Arthur Craig until it was moved without discussion in 2018. 162 etc. (talk) 16:59, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- Comment, on list of works I'm seeing a lot of A.D.B. Craig.--Ortizesp (talk) 23:30, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
- There are 13 pages here, all with A. D. Craig, or A. D. Craig Jr.? I realise this is a secondary source. Do the actually original journal papers take precedence? But we have Ivan Pavlov not I. P. Palov, Albert Einstein not A. Einstein, and James Clerk Maxwell not J. C. Maxwell, etc. Thanks. 205.239.40.3 (talk) 18:11, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- Move to Arthur Craig or Arthur D. Craig (which is what his university calls him), but certainly away from the current awful title. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:34, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
- Agree, Move to Arthur Craig, which is still a redirect to this article. There are no articles for any other Arthur Craig, so middle initial or Jr. not really required. 205.239.40.3 (talk) 12:08, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- Move back to Arthur Craig but give Anthonyhcole time to respond as they are still active on Wikipedia.
14:22, 24 April 2018 Anthonyhcole talk contribs block 45 bytes +45 Anthonyhcole moved page Arthur Craig to AD (Bud) Craig over redirect: Best known as this, and there are heaps of Arthur Craigs out there.
I am guessing that he is actually best known as Bud socially, but that secondary sources address him more formally, and that at the time of the bold move User:Anthonyhcole didn't recognise the significance of this. The references above to academic papers and what his university calls him seem to be primary sources and not of much relevance. Andrewa (talk) 16:07, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Redirs from A.D.B. Craig and Arthur D. Craig are obviously required from the above, and another from Arthur Dewitt Craig if this doesn't go ahead. I'd even have one from A. D. Craig, but not from A. D. Craig Jr. as the former covers it for searches. Andrewa (talk) 19:01, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your courtesy Andrewa. I'm happy for this to be returned to Arthur Craig. --Anthonyhcole (talk) 02:45, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
