Requested move

[edit]

This article should be moved back to Bali, Taipei for the sake of consistency.--Jerry 21:35, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page moved, per request. -GTBacchus(talk) 00:21, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Formosa Fun Coast

[edit]

Is anyone near Formosa Fun Coast? Can you see it from your where you live? Do you have any photos of it from a trip there? The article could really use images of the site. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 18:18, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: no consensus. It's been several weeks and even if there is arguably a consensus that the title should be disambiguated, there is clearly no consensus as to how. Jenks24 (talk) 13:47, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bali District → ? – Should not always be confused with the most familiar Indonesian city. The last move was 2010, where "Taipei" was scrapped out. The title should reinsert "Taipei" in some form. I'm thinking Bali District, Taipei, Bali District, New Taipei or Bali, Taipei. Or most precisely Bali District, New Taipei City. Georgie says "Happy Halloween!" How about "Bali District, New Taipei", GrammarFascist? --George Ho (talk) 20:38, 1 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I looked into it, George Ho, as I wasn't previously familiar with New Taipei City (and hadn't realized it wasn't simply the long version of Taipei). The article on the city almost invariably uses the three-part name "New Taipei City", does not mention it being referred to as simply "New Taipei" (even though "New Taipei" redirects there), and does clarify that it is "not to be confused with Taipei", so I think "Bali District, New Taipei City" is the way to go, even though "Bali District, New Taipei" would be shorter. Thanks for the ping! —GrammarFascist contribstalk 20:59, 1 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Do you agree with Ajax's suggestion, GrammarFascist—"Bali, New Taipei City"? --George Ho (talk) 04:55, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
AjaxSmack, how precise is just "Bali District"? We are discussing a district in Taiwan, not Indonesia. George Ho (talk) 16:12, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not aware of any "Bali District" in Indonesia, only the island/province. However, after reviewing the other entries at Bali (disambiguation), I would support a move to Bali, New Taipei City or Bali, Taiwan per WP:PRECISE. The title does not require both a geographic disambiguator and the admin unit. For example, Wikipedia uses Bali, Nigeria, not Bali Local Government Area, Nigeria.  AjaxSmack  04:38, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Calidum, Ajax changed his vote to supporting one name. George Ho (talk) 19:08, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
But he still says there is no other Bali District. Calidum T|C 03:47, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
