Horses harmed?[edit]

This article Soter Ink, suggests that many horses died during the filming of the movie, probably during the chariot race. Has this rumor ever been substantiated? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tsarevna (talkcontribs) 20:45, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Projection speed[edit]

How many frames per second was it filmed at? And is there any way to view it, at that speed, on DVD? How about animated GIF? --Uncle Ed (talk) 22:43, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

the cries of captive

Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925 film)Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (film) – Only film just titled Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ. 2A02:C7D:564B:D300:7DD7:ADCD:3580:5AF7 (talk) 10:55, 15 October 2016 (UTC)

  • Oppose; while the nom is correct that this is the only film with that exact name, the name of this film is the name of the 1880 novel, of which there are multiple adaptations. Unless the reader is already very familiar with all of the Ben-Hur versions, they are likely to confuse this film with one of the other adaptations, especially if they are familiar with the title of the novel. This change only serves to confuse readers and serves no practical benefit. InsertCleverPhraseHere 11:34, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
  • Oppose. Considering how many films have similar titles, the date is a useful part of disambiguating. Dicklyon (talk) 02:35, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
  • Oppose per the above two comments. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 08:55, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
  • Oppose per all previously submitted votes. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 15:59, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
