Requested move 2 April 2020

The result of the move request was: WITHDRAWN. User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 02:20, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bocaue, BulacanBocaue – No need for province-name disambiguation, WP:CONCISE and WP:PRECISE. Page cannot be moved by myself due to technical issue.

Evidences and proofs that this request is valid:

  1. Per bold moves by both Seav and @Carl DR 1995:
  2. User:RioHondo/LGU - Bocaue is listed here since it is a uniquely-named incorporated settlement - on Earth (not only in both Philippines or Asia)
  3. A notable, 1st class municipality - pyrotechnics, Philippine Arena, and Wawa Festival
  4. Talk:Dingalan, Talk:Banaue, Talk:Narvacan, Talk:Aparri, and Talk:Pagudpud
  5. My bold moves on Marilao and Hinatuan, that was not challenged to date.
  6. Successful request for Cagdianao
  7. Ongoing discussion at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Philippine-related articles#Revisiting_the_comma_convention_for_article_titles_of_municipalities. However, through valid arguments presented by myself, @Seav:, @RioHondo:, @Born2cycle:, and @Crouch, Swale:, and leanings/support of @Emperork:, @P199:, and @Exec8:, I believe this page move request for Bocaue is well-made and reasonable. @JWilz12345: DO NOT START NEW RM's when there is an ongoing centralized discussion about such moves. This is usually interpreted as bad faith. -- P 1 9 9   16:47, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@P199:: In this case then, why are page moves that are unopposed and not in the move requests being allowed? I'm referring to @Seav:'s and @Carl DR 1995:. Because of their moves, I assume that bold moves and move requests are OK even when a higher-order discussion is taking place. Sample municipality articles being moved by them during this discussion: Talipao, Barobo and Matalam moved by the former and Tabontabon, Carigara, and Capoocan. No matter how involved a user is, I believe that every user should be treated in equal perspective and not on how one make his/her opinion even in a centralized discussion. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 17:21, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I was not aware of their actions. What I said above applies equally to them. -- P 1 9 9   17:29, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
WITHDRAWING MY NOMINATION May I request to an administrator the immediate withdrawal and cancellation of this page move nomination as no consensus. Since I believe this is very raw like what @P199: said, and also I'm thinking of a consideration of retiring Wikipedia. As a result I cross out all of my comments here except my reply to P199. Thanks. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 14:30, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: moved. —usernamekiran (talk) 18:58, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

– For Bocaue: Updates on WP:MOSPHIL is now official. Also per the move at Talk:Baliuag, there is now consensus about the new naming scheme. A uniquely-named municipality not needing the name of the province as disambiguation, also a noteworthy town that is famous for their pyrotechnics industry and Ciudad de Victoria complex which means it is gaining national attention. I also ended the thread at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Requests for closure#Wikipedia_talk:Manual_of_Style/Philippines-related articles#Revisiting the comma convention for article titles of municipalities after obtaining some inputs from the talkpage of that forum.

It is ambiguous, despite an official ordinance as stated in the article, because many Bulakeños tend to refer both spellings (Bulacan and Bulakan) as variant spellings of both the province and the municipality. Some agencies in our province still use the spelling of "Bulacan," which indicates it is not 100% used in the entire province.
sir Seav mentioned before about recognizability (can be seen and read above this subsection, in the parent section), using the case of Corcuera -"people from Romblon or nearby provinces should recognize what Corcuera is about because they are familiar with it. This is the essence of the recognizability criterion of the article titles policy." This isn't the case for "Bulakan" because none of us (to a lesser extent we in this Bulacan town) are using this in real life conversation. Both Bulacan and Bulakan are pronounced the same - exactly and literally. The pronunciation of the word Bulacan always refers to the province as the first subject in mind (equivalent to WP:PRIMARYTOPIC). If we converse or interact, we usually call it as Bulakan, Bulacan; Bayan ng Bulakan (Town of Bulakan); or Bulakan Town (or maybe yung Bulakan na bayan). But the most preferrable title that's "both" natural and precise is Bulakan, Bulacan.
