Opener

[edit]

That opening paragraph seems awkward and poorly written. Would anybody mind if I revised it? BronzeWarrior 10:44, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to edit. You don't have to ask. :) OsFan 01:22, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Revert War

[edit]

After fixing several errors in grammar, removing superfluous text that does not fit into the style guidelines, and fixing several instances of improper punctuation, User:RSPW Coaster merely reverted to the inferior version with no justification whatsoever. A quick check of his contrib history (and that of his other current ID, User:RSPW Poster, which is currently serving a 48-hour suspension for similar behaviour) will attest to this user's true agenda. My agenda is limited to correcting and polishing wrestling entries as needed, and nothing more. Chadbryant 22:20, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Constant reverting to an inferior version of this article by the latest Alex Cain sock and User:TruthCrusader is not solving anything. Please stop. - Chadbryant 22:30, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't that a bit like saying "Constantly taunting Saddam Hussein by removing him from power and saying we're in charge is a bit mean, please stop?" You are such a hy...okay I won't go there because apparantly people hate personal attacks on here. But you're a ....well I won't go there either. Let's just say that your agenda is a total lie, and people know it. Oh Good Grief 23:38, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Acting Career

[edit]

I have a funny feeling he might of tried to get into Acting and had a few extra roles. Might be interesting to find out. IMDB.com Govvy 14:22, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:08.jpg

[edit]

Image:08.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Year of birth

[edit]

The article currently gives his birth date in two places - the main article has it as April 21, 1957, and the info box has it as April 21, 1958. I have no idea which is correct, but clearly, one of these needs fixing. 24.128.153.211 01:54, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photo of Brutus in his hey day

[edit]

Hi, I have a photo of Brutus Beefcake that I took myself back in the 1980s and was wondering if it would be okay to post it here. The match was between him and JYD, I also have a photo of him as well. The image quality isn't the best seeing as though the picture was taken in the 80s but it isn't to bad compared with what we already have in the article. ***Adam*** 00:21, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

I've added it. It's always good to have photos from the different eras of a wrestler's career instead of just relying on ones from the past 5 years or so. Plus, it's pretty good quality considering it was taken over 20 years ago. Thanks, NiciVampireHeart 15:28, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that. Take in the days before digital cameras and I was about 14 at the time. Cheers. ***Adam*** 04:28, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

The Disciple

[edit]

It's basically impossible to find this page by searching Disciple or The Disciple (his second most known gimmick). TheGary (talk) 20:35, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

[edit]
Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with *'''Support''' or *'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's policy on article titles.
  • Oppose If there's one thing for which Leslie is better known than his incredibly potent sleeper and haircuts, it's being the guy with a retarded number of gimmicks. Yes, Beefcake is more famous, compared to any one of the others. But compared to all of the others, it's much closer. The article title "Edward Leslie" is the more inclusive choice, and "Brutus Beefcake" works just fine as a redirect. InedibleHulk (talk) 06:10, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Common name. It is his most notable name in the major promotion in the world. Today, he wrestled under the name of Brutus Beefcake. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 13:49, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - by far his best known and longest-used ring name; also the name used by Leslie himself on his official website, Twitter account, etc. McPhail (talk) 22:38, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support The number of silly gimmicks he's had in the past is irrelevant to what his most common name is. Brutus Beefcake is what he is always going to be best known as. Regards, — Moe Epsilon 15:38, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
