Marijuana[edit]

I've removed the section on alternate meanings. This is an encyclopedia article, and not dictionary. Listing alternate definitions isn't relevant. And its use as a slang term for marijuana is unrelated to the topic of this article. -- Whpq (talk) 14:34, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for doing that. Sometimes it's good encyclopedic writing to discus alternate meanings. But on reflection in this case it's probably a good call, as the section might have distracted from the very important primary topic. FeydHuxtable (talk) 15:40, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
""Chonga" has lexical similarities with several other Spanish terms" -- I'm not sure this is really relevant unless there's some evidence that the term arose through punning or misunderstanding. However, if the list belongs in this article, 'Chona" should be included. 72.179.53.2 (talk) 14:27, 29 November 2012 (UTC) Eric[reply]

'Mexican-American'?[edit]

This article is currently in Category:Mexican-American culture. I'm unfamiliar with the term myself, but reading the article suggests it's more associated with Cuban-Americans, so I've added Category:Cuban-American culture in Florida. I'll leave it to others to decide whether the Mexican-American category belongs as well. Robofish (talk) 16:29, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
