Editing a page

If you're going to edit a page, please take the time to type things correctly (i.e. punctuation, capital letters, etc), and remove contradictions (i.e. he can't play for both Audax and Chelsea!)...Thank you.--80.4.6.146 (talk) 17:22, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Career statistics section

The fact that this has a column for games in Europe is ludicrous, he has never played for Chelsea and Audax Italiano are a Chilean side. I really question the need for a table that has two rows reading

0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Number 9

as it is mentioned a couple of times in the article about h8im wearing the number 9 i feel it should be mentioned the significance of the number (being osgoods of course) considering it said he was awarded it, so some may want to know what is special about the number 9. i added a small sentance explaining the significance of the number. if anyone wants to rewrite it feel free, as long as its there as i feel its important. i know theres no need for a whole paragraph about it, but a small sentance explaining the significance would work. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.155.230.125 (talk) 11:45, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chelsea Appearances

It should be noted that the appearances are only from the league, or add the other 8 he have (FA, League and Euro cups).

Blackburn Rovers

People seem to have edited the article to include a loan to Blackburn Rovers, which is in fact just newspaper gossip. Nothing has been confirmed or even mentioned by either club. I've removed all references I could find. Also, the bit about his first goal is all incorrect. If we're counting friendlies then he also had a couple last year.   • Oppose. No evidence for the majority of sources using the uncapitalised D, and no justification for us changing the correct capitalisation of his name just because some sources might get it wrong. On sources, all those cited in the article – Sky, BBC, his clubs, ESPN, Daily Mail, etc – use the capital D. On spelling, it's normal for surnames of Italian origin including a particle to capitalise it, as in Roberto Di Matteo, Paolo Di Canio, etc. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 07:43, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Normal" ≠ "Invariable". We could discuss the capitalisation of other people's surnames indefinitely, but it won't generate any evidence for the majority of sources using a small "d" in Mr Di Santo's surname, nor for them being right if they did. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 17:17, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
