[edit]The tag on this article is unnecessary. The information provided is relevant and provides depth to the journalist's life and the circumstances surrounding his death. Cosier (talk) 00:44, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- Disagree. This article is no more than an obituary. When notable details arise, then it may warrant an article. Taquito1 (talk) 01:26, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
- Agree with Taquito1. Just being killed does not make you notable. 91.208.174.15 (talk) 10:43, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- Disagree with Taquito1 and 91.208.174.15. Being killed by a governing army while reporting for the world as an innocent member of the press makes you notable.Paradise coyote (talk) 13:17, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, it does not make you so. Bmathis (talk) 18:02, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
If deletion was requested because journalists who died in the line of duty do not merit a Wikipedia page, then there are several pages that should be deleted as well, namely, Saeed Chmagh, Namir Noor-Eldeen, Henri Huet and Sean Flynn, to name a few, unless the contributors feel the reason Mr. Muramoto does not deserve an article here because he was covering civil unrest that did not involve the United States (as that was the common theme between the previously mentioned journalists/photographers). Vnv lain (talk) 23:20, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- You are right; there are indeed thousands of pages that are unencyclopaedic and deserve deletion. Bmathis (talk) 20:27, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
Moderators: Thank you very much for deciding to keep this page. :) Vnv lain (talk) 23:26, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
