Che Guevara can't have taken part in the solidarity campaign of 1976, because he had been dead for nine years then.

The article no longer mentions Che in connection with the campaign, but it says that Bertrand Russell—who died in 1970—was involved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.41.229.113 (talk) 02:34, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article cited in reference to Russell is not referring to the 1976 campaign but to this: "Hugo Blanco was leader of the Quechua peasant uprising in the Cuzco region of Peru in the early 1960s. He was captured by the military and sentenced to 25 years in El Fronton Island prison for his activities... An international defence campaign that gained the support of such figures as Ernesto Che Guevara, Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, and Bertrand Russell succeeded in winning his freedom." Someone has apparently confused this earlier campaign with something that happened much later. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.41.229.113 (talk) 02:41, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
